So I should have definitely read Marioâs review before coming here. Arrived with great expectation as Iâve been to a Khanâs Grill many times before.
Although this location was a first, so we arrive, We hand select the veggies, meats & seasonings, that we individually like. (Key-point INDIVIDUAL)
The cook was nice, although he was distracted and ended up giving my wife the wrong type of rice. STEAM. When she asked for FRIED RICE.
So I made sure to speak loudly and clear enough for him to hear me, through the AirPods he was wearing -.-
We get to the booth and realize, this dude, straight up SOMEHOW, mixed up our veggies!? And the liquid sauces!
So she got some water chestnuts, a lot of them. (Because I LIKE water chestnuts!) And I, got her excessive noodles and carrots with her EXTRA sauce flavors -.- (Because SHE LIKES excessive sauce and bloody noodles.)
Needless to say, we didnât even finish it at all, we DID BRING IT UP TO THE MANAGER. He arrived, apologized, âsincerelyâ and after noticing the frustration on my face he offered * egg rolls. And the egg rolls were super fried and hard, nice apology.
We left, paid $30 * to TRY AND EAT something we did NOT intend to eat. Donât come here, or do, and be disappointed.
Terrible experience, terrible management.
Iâm on vacation, and this place literally attempted to ruin it.
The place is falling apart. The floors are in terrible condition and what an ugly atmosphere. So this was a terrible experience. I went with my wife and sister in law. Upon arriving I was greeted by friendly staff. The manager was there and was nice and showed us how it works. It wasn't until I got to the cooking side where the problem begins. For some reason the cook was in a bad mood it was some dude with an earing. You can tell he hates his job and is a miserable person. I was carrying my 1 year old so my wife and SIL were ahead of me and already cooking their food. So when I get there the cook is all smiles and being flirtatious with the women I was with it wasn't until I asked him something he ignored me and proceeded to give me the cold shoulder so he can talk to my wife and SIL. Now I'm not a jealous person I just wanted my food. After plating all the food he forgets my bread and rice and says it with a smug smile oops I forgot. I just chuckled and showed him a tip I was gonna give him and put it back in my wallet. If youre gonna work for minimum pay at least show some pride in your work. I never mess with food service workers but this guy was on something. They actually all looked...
Read moreI've often been to other locations throughout the valley with wonderful experiences and service but the one in Harlingen is by far the worst. The cook was rude and seemed to catch an attitude because I asked him to keep my noodles separate from the vegetables. When I asked for a little bit of house sauce he rudely asked me, "What's a little"? To top it all off he asked me what rice I wanted so I said, "white rice" as he walked away. Thinking he couldn't have heard me I repeated myself. "White rice". He then sarcastically points to the rice options and tells me, "There's steamed rice, but you're saying white so that makes it sound like fried rice to me". How that makes sense I'm not sure, but he obviously heard me the first time. Then -plot twist- he was so bothered by me that he spoke to the manager and the manager didn't care to ask if everything was ok on my end- the customer. I felt very uncomfortable and will not be going back. Not to mention that they made sure I was charged two extra sides which was insulting because I never planned on not paying, but it was pretty obvious to me by that point that this particular Khan's counts their pennies, loses...
