We were seated very quickly once ordered our food arrived very quickly as well all was great except for the service they all seemed very nice, but we were never checked on until we were ready to leave. we had to ask for condiments that were offered to every other Patron and if you pay almost 3$ for coffee you expect coffee with your breakfast not a 2/3 full cup at the beginning and never a refill until after you were done with meal good thing I asked for a glass of water along with the coffee even that never was offered a refill. Even when we waved to our waitress. I could understand if it was a packed house with one waitress on staff but it wasn't. THe food though is the only reason I may give them a second try was very good. It hurt to not to tip when they askd if I wanted to leave one. I believe a tip is earned not...

Dropped by to get some lunch after spending time at the local VA clinic. Reminded me about some ma and pa restaurants in the east coast. They have a pretty big menu and specials posted on the walls. Menus are under the plastic on the tables prices are reasonable. First time here ever, maybe I caught them on an off day, dunno. I sat down in the room in the back they had a party going on kept seeing the waitresses go and take care of the party. My waitress got my drink and said she gives me time to see what I wanted. 23 minutes later I decided to leave cause she never came back saw a lot of the waitress check on their clients and bring them their food. New place date day! Was looking to expand our breakfast option footprint here in the Harlingen area. Lonnie's was next on the list. The establishment looks a bit sketchy and rundown from the outside but upon entry your greeted with a cozy, friendly and clean atmosphere! The menu is straightforward and definitely outlines down home recipes. Our waitress was 100% Deep South Texas Friendly and all staff were masked up because of the Joe N the Ho sheep mandated commie flu requirements.. Food was brought out fast, well presented and certainly tasty!! Really enjoyed crispy hashbrowns! All in all its a great spot for no frills chow and you can support local businesses instead of corporate socialist communists. We will be back.. Plotted......
