Tonight at the bar I was assaulted by a man. He grabbed me by the neck and spilled my drink. I told two different bouncers about it. Each bouncer claimed they knew the man personally and that he would ânever do thatâ but he did. As a female it is my role to tell a bouncer when I feel like my safety is a jeopardy. Tonight it was and, no one did anything about it. As a female I feel that bourbon failed to protect not only my safety but others. I was told by one bouncer with a chin piercing to âstop telling rumors and liesâ. This was not a lie, it happened. I was not protected by anyone at bourbon and felt liked it was an unsafe environment. For them not to remove a man that was a clear threat was violation of my safety . I hope moving forward the bouncers and security remember that each person regardless of the relationship should be respected and heard when a problem is reported. I am upset, disgusted and confused by the action taken by security. I hope every women moving forward takes extra precaution when interacting with men within this environment. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of initiative taken tonight to protect me. I am a regular at this bar and to see this lack of respect and safety is...

Read moreMy first time on 2nd Street in about 4 years, I went into this bar. There was a conflict between two gentleman over beer pong, one the being obvious aggressor. Security did nothing to deescalate the situation. When asked to exit via the back door to keep the two parties separated; security responded "ain't no back door".
Being an adult, I knew there had to be a secondary door. I looked around and saw the exit sign (duh) and escorted the gentleman out to adviod further conflict-awaiting for him out front. When security noticed us walking out the door the head security (if you can call this worthless human being security) started yelling at his subordinate "why'd you tell them about the door" as if he wanted to see the drama unfold.
Not only will I not be patronizing this establishment again, I highly recommend that the Owner hire real security with real training before he ends up with a lawsuit on his...
