2024-06 Wife's birthday. Another perfectly prepared dinner for 5 at 630 on a Wednesday. Apps: Fries (they were out of garlic fries) pork belly - delicious, and the Flatbread de jour - peppers, onions, fajita style sliced meat. Dinner: Fish tacos, Meatballs, shepherd pie, Reuben Dessert was a surprise board of chocolates, marcons, lemon dessert. 2024-02 Wednesday evening 7:30. We had a reservation for the 6 in our group. The table was ready upon arrival, we were seated on the couch tables. Ordered the Not so Old fashioned (photo), it is good but was missing some zest. The jambalaya (photo) is AWESOME. The blending of flavors and texture made for one of the best jambalaya I've tasted in a while. I used the sausage to clean the bowl. Spaghetti squash (photo) arrived cooked properly. The blending is sauce and toppings makes this a good choice. The chili (photo) is served at a good temperature. Nice clean presentation. The taste is smoky, spicy, and delicious. The tavern chips was good, the dip served with it is good but nothing over top. Associate ordered the steak over mashed with green beans. Temp was to be medium. Upon arrival at the table it was medium rare, sent back to cook it another minute and returned medium. He ate the entire thing so I assume it was very good.

I came here as an attendee for a government conference. Ate from the lunch menu and had vegetarian options: Brussels sprouts and cauliflower as appetizers, and pumpkin tacos. The appetizers together would probably suffice as a lunch, quite deep dishes for both. The cauliflower is packaged in such a way where it's hard to eat without it falling out of the pot so that could probably be improved. The green onions don't infuse any flavor, just cut as garnish, so as a Chinese person I find that a peculiar use of green onion.. But otherwise, the sprouts and cauliflower are good! The sprouts particularly so savory with a light sweetness, crispy and good temperature. There are two tacos with the pumpkin tacos and those are good as well. Light content-wise, so that's why it was possible for me to eat all this food. I'm a skinny dude. I ate at the bar for a working lunch. Environment is not quiet during lunch. There are multiple outlets to plug in your laptop, with your typical sports TV playing. Kate was working the bar and she was very responsive and great. You can have food charged to your room bill, of course. Ariana Grande music was playing non-stop in the back, so that was good for me too.

I was a little disappointed in this place to be honest but there were some good hightlights: the pumpkin tacos were unique and had a good flavor to them, they come in a stack of two and I could probably eat 4 of them as they were the highlight of this meal. I also tried the adult grilled cheese (buttery garlicky but kind of dry. Great with the marinara dip), plantain (not good if you grew up on plantain or platano- you will be confused as it was kind of dry and not very flavorful. Coupled with the orange apple spread it just did not sit well with me) and the crispy brussel sprouts (texture was good, good balance of crispy outside and tender inside it just lacked seasoning overall and the random croutons mixed in didnt help) . Our waiter was very nice and helpful and so was the hostess-service isnt bad at all! But the food fell short.that being said I will give their brunch a try next time before completely writing this place off.

Edit: as we had a second experience there that was exceptional. It was Christmas Eve and we thought the place would be packed but to our surprise my family was the only ones in the restaurant. Everyone we came in contact with was overwhelmingly nice and helpful. The food was great and unlike the first time came out when it was supposed to. However the second experience doesn’t change the first one so I can give 5 stars.

The food was good but the service was extremely poor. We had a gift certificate for a meal for 2 and we brought it to the attention of the server when we were first seated. Her whole demeanor changed, she told us that she had just got the first certificate like ours the day prior. The food wasn't prepared the way the menu stated but was still very good. However the first appetizer came out with one entre, then 10-15 minutes later another entre came and about an hour later the first appetizer ordered came. The server never came back and offered to fill our coffee or check on drinks. She did acknowledge the appetizer issue was her fault. When our bill came I just had to ask her if the people that used the certificate the previous day had given her a bad tip, ( I was assuming that's what happened and she thought we would do the same). And to my surprise she said no, they tipped her in cash very well. Anyway I still gave her a $23 tip on an $80 total bill to be nice, but if the next time we come back we get her as a server again I will ask for another. We did schedule to bring our kids back in a couple weeks and we think they would...

We decided to eat here after my one year old's busy birthday weekend to relax with family before they left town. However, my mom and I were left hungry by the time we left. Mine and my mom's eggs benedict were sweet (which is not the case for eggs benedict). We sat waiting for the waitress to come by to ask us how our food was, but we did not see her until everyone else at the table was already done eating. I asked why my food was sweet, she went and asked the chef, and she came back telling us they ran out of regular English muffins and substituted for honey wheat muffins. The waitress said "at least they were healthy, right?" and walked off before I could tell her I wanted something else. No manager came over asking if there was something they could do. We weren't asked if they could give us something else to take home with us, we just sat there hungry. My family asked for it to be taken off the bill and they seemed annoyed we asked (even though we couldn't eat our food). No chef or manager came over to ask why we didn't like the food or to make things right even after asking for mind and my mom's food to be taken off the bill. The only advice was "ask for a different waitress the next time you are here". So disappointed after hearing great reviews from friends of ours. I will say, the waitress with bangs and blonde hair was absolutely fabulous, but we only had her for the complimentary mimosa and monkey bread. Giving more than one star because of her great service at the beginning of...
