Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Harrisburg

I’ve came to this location 3 times total, the 1st time the owner made my smoothie is was disgusting it literally tasted like water. I requested that he made it again, he had someone else make it and it was 10x better. Then I came about a week later, he wasn’t there and my smoothie was made perfect then too. I came again today and utilized the smoothie fest promotion where you get a free smoothie with a food item purchase, he made my smoothie and it literally tasted like water. He refused to make it stating it was already free as if it wasn’t free due to a promotional event that he chose to participate in because it’s only select locations he didn’t have to be apart of it especially if he was going to be making subpar smoothies at best. He boasted about being the manager and owner and accused me of always complaining about my smoothie but it’s only my 3rd time here and the time I did come when he didn’t make my smoothie it was perfect and I had no complaints. This owner doesn’t take constructive criticism well and it’s sad being that he’s in a position of power at this establishment. I will not be returning and if you see a man with a purple hat on(everyone else wears blue hats) he is the manager so ask for someone else to make your smoothie because he isn’t good...

Edit- we decided to give Tropical Smoothie of Harrisburg another chance today. Was told the food would be ready at 5:19. They still haven’t made it at 5:40 and we got here at 5:15. This place is an absolute joke.

We absolutely love the Tropical Smoothie at Carolina Mall, and loved the one that closed by Ride Now but the Harrisburg one is pretty bad. I know it’s the same food but it’s always cold, they never slice sandwiches or quesadillas, and no one is very friendly. Sad because Harrisburg will back you if you are at least okay. Sad because we were so excited for a local one…back to the one near...

It took 25 minutes, in an empty dining room at 11:45 on a Saturday to get 4 wraps for my family. The flatbread are under sized and over priced. My wife's food was so drenched in buffalo sauce as to be inedible (see picture). Mine was... Fine, albeit cold because of the wait.

We won't be back. Easily the worst fast food experience in Harrisburg.
