Food was good, but they have a policy on not sitting at a table before your party is there.... We were meeting for brunch before the holidays and were told we could be asked to give up our table for someone else if our entire party was not present, but others came in looking for a table. I have NEVER heard of such a policy, and I'm someone who has visited small mom and pop restaurants all over the cincinnati. Our waitress felt bad for telling us this, but at the end the day, this a policy the owners put into place. I will gladly take my business elsewhere with such crazy policies! Don't implement a policy for all patrons merely because one or two burned you. That is exactly what this "creative" policy sounds like it is being utilized for. You're just turning off new customers who have never been.... What an experience. OH and the waitress wouldn't take our order initially because we didn't have everyone seated/present. But there were two patrons who came in after us and sat at a table for 5 and were immediately served with no push back.
Again, coming from a group of ladies who have either never been or have not been to Nicks in the last decade, we all agreed we would never return. Waffle House sounds...
Read moreWent in to have a sandwich and breakfast. I was charged $7.25 for their special breakfast. The hash browns were like mashed potatoes just thrown on the grill for a couple of minutes. Cold and not good at all. The sausage links had a funny taste. The toast had no butter on it. My girlfriend got the double roast beef. The roast beef was very dry and brittle and not good at all. I will not return or recommend this place to anyone. Food is way overpriced and the quality of food is not good at all. There is a little sandwich shop in Norwood called J&W Sandwich Shoppe. A double lunch meat sandwich there is only $4.50 and it's about a quarter size bigger than what this restaurant serves. It seemed like it took forever for us to get our food only for it not to taste...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Nick's for the first time last Sunday, and we LOVED it. We arrived around 11:30, and it was full, but our wait was minimal. The staff were very nice and welcoming. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with french fries, and my husband had the breakfast special. We both loved our breakfasts; the crinkle cut fries are delicious. The staff apologize for the wait, but given it was a Sunday morning, we expected a wait and it wasn't a long one. Mrs. Nick was very nice also. We will...
