My cousin recommended this little burger joint / bar. It was her favorite place to go when she was in college here.
The decor is a LOT to take in, but I love how unique it is. They have pictures, stickers, signs, and graffiti everywhere; a live edge wood bar, and a special mayo sauce that is subtle and delicious.
When an order is placed at the front register, a zipline takes it whizzing to the cook with an audible click, and you can watch your food be made right in front of you.
They have extensive outside seating with a huge , colorful and abstract mural stretching along the whole side wall, great for Instagram snaps of your time there.
Presentation wise, theres nothing fancy about the food. My mother ordered a side of mac and cheese and received it in a typical Chinese takeout folding box , even though the place was not an Asian restaurant in the least??? AND I LOVE THE ABSURDITY OF THAT.
An incredible beer selection beckons from three different chalkboard along the back of the bar, with outlandish names and beautifully reasonable prices. Our waitress/bartender took great care of us, and was efficient and reliable.
The beer offered on tap comes out of a vintage childs metal toy car, (with interior piping of course) that appears to be crashing into the wall. There is a disco ball, above which at least 30 patrons bras hang, of unknown origin or reason, as well as a bicycle. The hood of a vintage car as well as a pair of mannequin legs with flippers on sit proudly above one of the hanging menus, and the deershead plaque near the bathroom is wearing diving goggles.
Every inch of the wall is covered with patron plaques, and Polaroid snaps on string hung above that. Vandalized dollar bills are all along the rafters, and the space is tall and long, but not wide at all.
The menu is concise and beautiful, there are about 8 regular burger offerings, and on the flip side, they have daily specials; a burger option offered only on the indicated day of the week it is listed under, none of which are on the regular menu.
I ordered the El Chupacabra from the main menu, which was beef patty, sweet chili bacon jam, goat cheese, and arugula with a side of fries and a sweet tea. 12/10 nectar of the meat deities delicious.
Every patron I overheard said this restaurant made them into burger "snobs" and they now studiously avoid eating burgers almost anywhere else.
If you are in town, GO. Treat yourself to a mind meltingly delicious...

The star of the show is undoubtedly the burgers, which are crafted from high-quality wagyu beef and served with a variety of creative toppings. The menu features an impressive selection of gourmet burgers, including their signature Jack Brown’s Burger, The Greg Brady, and Cobra Kai (yes cream cheese on the burger) which combines juicy beef patties with unique flavors that tantalize the taste buds. We ordered the Cobra Kai and it was excellent. The option to customize your burger with various toppings, from crispy bacon to tangy sauces, allows for a personalized dining experience. The burgers are not very big but juicy and delicious.
In addition to the burgers, Jack Brown's offers a selection of delicious sides, including their sweet potato fries, which are crispy and flavorful. Read moreThis is a great burger joint. I was driving up I-81 and had to stop for some food so I found this place on Yelp with some great reviews. Plenty of parking in a lot next door and there was great seating outside at the restaurant. Really no seating inside but there might have been an upstairs. Their menu is really simple as it basically just has hotdogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and then they have about 6 or so signature burgers. These range from anything with an egg on it to peppers to peanut butter. I was definitely taken back when I asked for a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato to which the waitress said they don't add those toppings. When the burger and fries came out, they were in a typical basket with the burger wrapped in a wax paper bag. I must say now that I'm glad the burger didn't have lettuce or tomato on it since it was delicious. The cook must steam the buns which made them so soft and perfect with the cheese being melted throughout the patty. The fries were really good too and are cut in a wavy french style. I can understand that some people might complain that it is expensive for just a burger/fries place but the quality was great and worth every penny.
One last thing. The Yelp app had a deal for this place that gave you a free deep fried Oreo if you checked in. Completely worth it and they are only $1 anyway. Amazing flavor and delicious. Great way to end a fantastic meal with something sweet.
Not sure when I'll be back in that area but I would definitely stop by again since it isn't too far off of I-81 and the whole meal...
