The Lady — Restaurant in Hartford

Love the russian lady and often go here with my group of friends. But this specific review is for the male bartender who worked on NYE at the main bar right off the corner off the dance floor with the two ladies.

I went this night with two of my girl friends. We paid the extra money to get the open bar feature. We walked up as a group because I needed a drink refill and my other two friends wanted shots. We ordered three shots and one of my friends just took two because I just wanted a drink and not a shot. One of friends took their shot and left a $5 bill to tip the male bartender and left to talk to her friends she had just ran into, leaving me and our other friend at the bar to order our regular drinks. Before my friend who ordered the shots walked away, she told me to make sure he (the bartender) got his 5$ tip because she was walking away. Being it was NYE, an open bar, and just simply packed, I put the 5$ in my hand with my cup and I was just going to HAND the bartender the 5$ from our shot order when he took my drink order. the bartender refused to serve me, threatened and cussed at me for “stealing his money” even after he saw us three as a group. I tried to explain to him that the 5$ came from our group and she was my friend who left the money and I was going to hand it to him when he took my cup but he would not listen to me. I recently visited the Russian Lady in Hartford, CT, and I must say it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively and energetic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their extensive drink menu.

The bar itself had a great selection of Russian-inspired cocktails and a wide range of other drinks to choose from. I highly recommend trying their signature Moscow Mule; it was expertly crafted and absolutely delicious.

I purchased a ticket to the Russian Lady for NYE two weeks before the event. Days before the event I went to the doctor and found out I had the flu. I tried calling the Russian Lady 10+ times days before the event with no answer in hopes of getting a refund. I even sent an email 2 days before new years, but they ignored that too. I finally spoke to a waitress on the phone on New Years, and she said a manager would refund me, and took my information down. The manager never refunded me, or even called me. I've called several times since then and left messages, but once again no one gets back to me. Today I messaged them on Facebook, and the GM Jonathan answered me, but later left me on seen without helping me at all.
