Update: while thats great you were able to check your cameras i highly doubt you can check audio to confirm what was said. I specifically remember he told me three rolls and the funny thing is he was having trouble remembering which were which and that may be why it looks like he pointed to all the rolls. Either way with your response we wont be back. Im sure you do not care but i will also not be insinuated as someone who eats food and then complains. If you look at the video it was the couple we came with that noticed they did not get the roll and also if its served family style why would your server only speak to me and only put the sushi in front of me if he knew theirs was on it? No need to reply to this update. Thanks.
Me and my family are regulars at this restaurant and have always had great customer service and great food. That all changed when we went on Nov 4th around 8pm. We decided to introduce this great place to our friends and the server was someone who may be new, at least i had not seen him before. We ordered our food and our friends ordered. Everything was great up until our sushi came out. Our server told me the three rolls we ordered and showed me which ones they were and handed us our platter. Me and my husband started eating and all of our other food was out. Our friends asked when they would get the roll they ordered and the waiter went to the sushi bar to see about their roll where he was informed it was on our plate he had given us 10 minutes prior. He came back and told us they plate together, which we did not know and he did not tell us (we always try new sushi, so i dont always know what to look for), they brought our friends a new roll but then our waiter informed us we would be paying for the $12+ dollar roll we did not order and were unaware was given to us since we unknowingly ate it, and apparently the waiter did not know either. Luckily we had the money to pay but it made our bill over $100 which we had not accounted for (i always add up when we order, our total). I did not ask to speak to the manager when this happened because i was very upset and would like to come back, however i worked at a restaurant and work customer service now and if the error is a fault of my own, either from misinformation or just an error i would never charge the customer. If the manager or owner reads this i just hope the employee is taught better customer service as they do not compare to the service we have...
Read moreSub par food, but the service has always been pretty decent and enjoyable. Until the last time we went there and they decide to serve family style when they never have before. So after talking this place up to our friends it was trash as far as experiences go. The waiter knew nothing at all and we ordered 3 rolls and the other couple ordered one. When he brought all of them on one plate and set it in front of my wife, he struggled to explain which was which. To top it off he only explained 3, of which he was wrong about 2 of them. We started eating and the other couple had asked where there’s was at which time he explained they were all on one plate. So we told him we have never been served this way since coming here and he never told us of the 4th roll. He did acknowledge he messed up at which time we told him it would be asinine to pay for a roll we didn’t know about. He went and spoke to the manager at which time we were told “ it was our mistake not theirs”. So why would I ask for a manager when they already knew of the screwed up situation?
Let’s top this off with the fact that you all waited 2 weeks to come at us with whatever you want to call that garbage customer service and laughable unprofessionalism, probably why you all have to over compensate with erratic memorabilia. So since you spent all of your money on likely fake signatures I know you didn’t have enough to get nsa level security cameras that could signal out the audio of an individual customer/waiter.
Never coming back.
Ps: for a reasonable sushi place you should probably not present your “samurai” sword the wrong way. Cutting edge up/...
Read moreGreat Place to eat! Hey Hatorando! I work for The NSA, I would be happy to donate a Camera system with our "level of Security Cameras than can signal out the audio of a customer/waiter" so you may protect yourself from ignorant customers that can't look at a plate and see 4 rolls when they stated they ordered 3- and then consume all 4 rolls and then wonder, "where is my friends roll?" It is laughable for them to expect you to give them something for free. It's unfortunate that we live in a society where there seems to be less and less accountability or sense of self acknowledging one's behavior was mistakenly wrong and own their error instead of using it as an opportunity to try and take advantage of the establishment that was in the right. You're lucky those people won't be back (even though it sounds like he DID come back after his wife wrote a negative review). They think their red-neck/trash talk style of negative reviews will hurt your business, that is truly laughable! For an ever better laugh, read some of the other reviews written by the same Richard Cranium and his wife Karen. You have great food, great service and great management. You are honorable and should be proud of what you are building. "Oorah" fellow Veteran and Rock on! Let me know if you need an upgrade to your security system. *My picture of the plate of rolls we were served below. There were 4 of us and We ordered 6 rolls.....how many can you see? Go figure, we got 6 rolls!! Served in the same family style fashion that you are known for. It's clear to most and pretty obvious there is a separation between each different...
