Red Olive Restaurant - Hartland — Restaurant in Hartland Township

Took my son here for lunch/dinner. The staff was non existent even when there was only one other table around 3pm. I got my my baby Greek salad. Then we waited forever while there was annoying whistling from the cooks in the kitchen, and the entire staff was playing grabass in the back, visible to all.. The food finally showed up, and after I finished my soup my son showed me hair (not A hair, but hair plural) and a piece of straw wrapper in his. Then i noticed nasty finger prints on my glass. I said something to the waiter, he took it back to the kitchen where all the young kid employees laughed at us. I told the waiter it was inexcusable. The waiter only took my sons meal off the bill (neither of us ate). We ended up paying $9 for a coke and baby Greek. The math didn't even add up but I was so pissed we just left. We got a pizza next door and took it home. The next day I calmly called the main restaurant office and was told the owner was vacationing and they would have them call me. Needless to say they never called me. This was just plain gross, sickening and wrong an nobody cares....

Worst food an service anywhere!! Save your time money and taste buds from this disaster!! Would give no stars but cant. Saturday Oct 4th at 6pm we went and were seated fast but took 45 mins an had to ask for drinks when only 4 other customers in restaurant. Salad was iceberg lettuce croutons an watered down dressing an came before drinks. Food sat 15 plus mins while waitress Jayden played on phone we could see her an came cold to table on hot plates..fish an shrimp with hot spoiled tarter sauce laying on a pile of wilted lettuce..Bus boy was putting chairs up on dirty tables across from us while we tried to eat..cook had to be told by hostess to go back to kitchen to make food loudly. No manager an only young seemingly new people working. I'd would be highly embarrassed if I owned this establishment!!! After making a complaint at checkout hostess had the nerve to walk out door watching us walk to car saying she would give us a bad review. Super unprofessional. Took food to go just to get out of there an when home my dog wouldn't even eat it who eats anything!! Please go...

Absolute joke of a restaurant. Went in having a great day. Our waiter was new and we understood that, but the experience was just all around awful.

First of all, the profit margin in this place must be through the roof because the food quality is what you'd expect at Arby's but for triple the price.

Second of all, after ordering a second single peice of pita bread for our hummus for $1.00, it didn't come to the table until we were already finished with our main course. We didn't even end up eating it and told the waiter to take the plate away.

So after long waits for food, water, and paying far too much for the food quality, we wanted to comment on the fact that we had a poor experience (mainly related to the hummus). The manager "compensated" us by taking 10% off the $25 bill. The hummus itself was $7 and we were still charged $1 for the bread we didn't even accept.

Still gave the kid waiter a good tip because it isn't completely his fault, he barely even knew how to work the computer system. The fact that this place is still in business...
