Guthrie's Of Hartwell — Restaurant in Hartwell

Ok, we just moved to Hartwell, and we have decided to try Guthrie's. I was told by a few people that they have the best chicken fingers. We, my husband and I, went to get some food. i think it was The Big G combo. Idk my husband ordered it. We wanted to go in to see what it was like, and the door was locked. The front closes at 7pm, now that was the ONLY thing that was wrong. So, 6 tenders, OMG, the chicken, was absolutely the best. It was cooked just right. Juicy and crispy all together. The fries were crinkle cut and were salted perfectly, the bread was awesome, and it came with a drink. So the drink, SWEET TEA! Southern style sweet tea with crunchy ice! It was amazing. when i saw that another chicken place was opening in hartwell, i was hoping that it would atleast be as good an cheaper than zaxby . well it is as good but thats it. i didnt think anyone would be as high as zaxbys but guthries is. $9.95 for a box and a tea, im serious !!! way higher than zaxbys.as far as taste goes, i couldnt really tell a difference, after all its chicken. 1st impressions doesnt mean much to guthries evidentlly, cause there brand new an already out the gate there higher than what i thought was the highest chicken place around. maybe 1 day hartwell will get a good sit down, reasonable priced restaurant, until then we will have...

I went in for a quick lunch, or what I thought would be quick. Ordered a kids box and a drink, took 45 minutes to get my food. So when I left, I literally had to throw my food away and go back to work. I should have slung it all over the wall at Guthrie’s.. I guess the girls inside thought it was a better idea to chat and giggle the whole time rather than cooking food and getting orders out, if you can’t do your job, then go home and let someone else do it.
