Overall, a bit overpriced for very bland food.

Food:

Appetizer was the calamari. It was light and crispy and was great. It came with two sauces which was nice. The portion was small for the price.

My wife had the short rib risotto. It was very bland. The short ribs and risotto lacks richness and flavor.

I had the Mad Tuna. The tuna was fresh but also bland. There was a hint of sweet & tangy sauce between the tuna slices, but otherwise it was altogether misssing and bland. The sushi rice croquettes were also very bland. Don’t recall what exactly the green sauce they sat on is, but also bland. If I’m being empathetic, it seemed like a food consistency issue or just an off night.

The atmosphere.

It was a Friday evening, 6:30 PM when we dined. So, it was busy. The bar was lively with waiting customers enjoying libations. The atmosphere was loud, and so was the music. Not great for an intimate dinner but good for family, especially the outdoor sitting areas.

The service:

The staff were nice but barely attentive. They all seem tired. It was 6:30pm when we dined, so, it was early into dinner service.

Overall, the meal felt underwhelming and overpriced.

We were a family of four. Our meals included kids Mac & cheese, chicken tenders & fries, calamari appetizers, short ribs risotto, and the mad tuna. Drinks included a cape cod blonde, sparkling water, and two kids’ Shirley Temple.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Mad Minnow in Harwich, and we were fortunate enough to be served by Brenna. Our girls' night out was a special occasion, as it marked nearly 30 years of close friendship, catching up amidst our busy lives and families. Although we reside in Dennis, we decided to venture to Harwich for dinner, a decision that was nearly marred by a frightening Uber ride where we narrowly avoided an accident. This close call could have drastically changed the course of our lives.

Arriving at the restaurant, still shaken, we were greeted by Brenna, who immediately put us at ease. Her kindness, warmth, and knowledge of the menu were a balm to our frayed nerves. She not only helped us navigate the menu with expert recommendations but also brought a lightness to our evening with her infectious laughter and genuine care.

Brenna is truly a gem, embodying everything you could hope for in a server. She made our night unforgettable, transforming what began as a nerve-wracking experience into one filled with joy and laughter. We are so grateful for her and will certainly be returning, hoping to see her again.

Just gettin' back from my Harwichport romp!! Pulled in to the Mad Minnow for some suppah. Absolutely awesome Cape Cod Risotto!! I had already dug in afore snappin' a pic so THEN, it was warranted! Not to mention, the wicked cold Buds... Staff members have Personality Plus. Had some fun with each one in contact. The Hostess was very nicely dressed for her position. Although, She WAS rockin' some extremely awesome Hightop Kicks! And soon, I realized why... A.) They were just cool. B.) Gettin' her thru that gravel floor of the tent for each seating, as I followed to mine, instantly made SoO much sense. Kudos Young One!! PS: I do hope my suggestion with the S & P Grinders, is taken under consideration. You both KNOW, it made sense. Ahhhhh..... Dining AL FRESCO made for the perfect outdoor evening. There was even a bunny peekin' in under the fence.
