J. Bar Harwichport — Restaurant in Harwich

Quick note I take not joy in writing this, I do it for the locals and the business so that we can improve the town.

I was there for probably about 10 minutes and saw several health code violations. If you need to bring your kid to work that is fine and understandable but what a customer doe's not want is to be seeing that said kid cutting fruits used in the product without food safety gloves and visibly eating the food with her fingers.

We got two smoothies, the mave berry and a custom one, total was $20+. The mave berry tasted like nothing, and the other one also tasted mainly like nothing but 2/10 of it you could taste.

Lastly there were five customers waiting to order and three waiting for orders, when the cashier decided to change the Clean version of Snoop Dogg out for Justin beiber. The music choices are obviously my opinion vs theirs which you can't critique but don't slow down the 'line' for the sake of a 3 minute song.

This place is incredible! Best juice bar on the Cape. By far. And I’ve been to them all. I stop in here every time I am in Harwich. Never disappoints. Tremendous menu. Exceptional, reliable, and consistent service. The owner is a local badass entrepreneur too. She’s as smart and wonderful as she is healthy. J.Bar is my favorite spot in town. It’s got great breakfast treats like power bowls, smoothies, wheatgrass, turmeric and ginger shots, and cold brewed coffee. It has an outstanding lunch menu as well filled with avocado toasts, sandwiches and salads. I always swing by on my way to the beach. Four of us decided to have lunch at the J Bar. The staff was clueless , slow , and didn't produce things in the order in which people arrived. None of our meals arrived at the same time. Two of us were done before the others were served. I ordered the A+ sandwich (avocado, hummus, carrots and kale) on gluten free bread. First of all the bread was frozen. When I bit into the sandwich, the entire thing fractured into many pieces. Secondly there was so little hummus and avocado the shredded carrots were falling out. I ended up throwing most of it in the trash. Slow service and terrible sandwich .... one...
