Cattlemen’s Grill — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The atmosphere was the only thing good I can say about our experience. The restaurant was clean and themed well. We waited an hour and a half for our food. We wanted to just pay for our tea and go somewhere else but our waitress went awol for the last 30min we were waiting. I got another waitress to find out what was going on. Our waitress reappeared very apologetic and said she asked the manager to come talk to us and when she brought our food out she informed us the manager refused to come out. We ordered straight from the menu with no special requests to our order. As far as the food goes my chicken was very dry. The people who came in after us, and sat behind my husband finished eating before we were served and told us their medium steaks came out well done. When they got them I thought they were burnt. First off, the location is excellent. The steak was a great cut of meat and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfect to accompany it. The bar area is open and tv’s were everywhere and one heck of a playlist pumping through all areas of the restaurant. Haley the bartender is wise beyond her years. My wife said her hibiscus margarita was the best she ever had, and trust me… she is a margarita snob. High praise from her. To all my Hattiesburg friends please check it out. Cattlemens Grill is an absolute gem! The food is delicious and reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality you get. My husband had the burger and thought it was great — juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with real, quality meat. The hot honey shrimp were a standout as well — perfectly cooked with just the right balance of sweet and heat.

Portions are generous without going overboard, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. To top it all off, the mango margarita was fantastic — refreshing, not too sweet, and the perfect pairing with the meal.
