Once we paid the cashier? NO ONE spoke a word to us, waited on us, asked us of we wanted or needed anything, re-filled our drinks, re-moved our used dishes. Salt and pepper shackers were empty; had to replace them ourselves. Napkin dispensers were empty, had to replace them ourselves X 3. We had to refill our own drinks (Perhaps this has to do with new post-Convid 19 rules, process, and procedures? IDK?)
The Five or six that walked past us, DID have time for for chatting one another up, being on their cell phones, etc.
As it so happens, in hindsight, I believe we seated OURSELVES in a booth area used by staff for breaks? But, again NO ONE said a word to us the entire time we were there?
And there weren't ANY signs that designated the booths (Which were set up and looked just as any other) was for staff primarily?
I realize that "Customer Service" is a dying concept especially among the younger generation, but SERIOUSLY?
I've heard, that the word TIPS, means "To insure prompt service?"
We didn't receive any, and the wait staff didn't receive a tip either;
The place appeared to be clean and in good order, with progressive cleaning obviously being conducted.
The food on the hot buffet line was NOT maintained at optimal serving temperatures (I've multiple years experience working in Food Service), but to their credit it seemed as though it WAS cooked professionally and progressively in batches and NOT over cooked from setting on the serving line for too long. The serving line was well poiiced, clean and orderly.
Bathrooms were also were clean, orderly and well stocked.
We were there around 3:30 ~ 4:30 on Thursday, 3 June if management is interested in knowing?
In closing? Customer service wasn't just bad. THERE JUST WASN'T ANY? This is more of a failure on a management's part in failing to properly lead, train and manage their team...
Read moreThe cashier was on her phone apparently having an enjoyable conversation with someone. When I asked if she were talking to me I got a resounding NO. We seated ourselves close to the area where the servers get drinks, hoping for our server to be able to see us. This was a mistake for the servers were hanged up there laughing and talking about things they had no business talking about where customers could over hear them. They were loud enough that it was disturbing and difficult to carry on a conversation with my dining partner. I asked for a medium rare steak at the grill and was told all they had was medium well and we’ll done and they wouldn’t be preparing anymore. This was at 7:30 PM! The fish was room temperature and dried out, the pizza was dried out and inedible, there was only a very minimal amount of roast beef, the baked potatoes weren’t hot enough to melt butter, the fried chicken was cold and could go on. Our server did bring us refills when asked but it was sweet tea and we were having unsweetened. I am diabetic so this matters to me. I had to flag down another server and ask for a replacement and she said she would inform our server. Though I can’t have dessert my partner said there was one piece of carrot cake and two pieces of chocolate/white cake and it was completely dried out. I have eaten here quite often in the past but the last three times has been unacceptable. It was a slow nights d there weren’t a lot of customers but if your doors are open quality and quantity of items on your buffet should be up to par and service should be impeccable. I was embarrassed that I brought my friend here to eat and it won’t happen again. I fully expect that your business has dropped off as of late and I...
