I ate at this local Olive Garden, and it was terrible! I ordered the Margherita Grilled Chicken with a salad. It was supposed to come with the "never-ending salad and breadsticks," but we only received one round. We did not get another round of the salad and/or breadsticks. I just saw a review tonight that someone posted saying they had an issue similar to this, so I decided to post my review as well from Wednesday.
This wasn't the only issue that I had with the food. After my family and I finished our meal, we paid and went to our car. Then the fun started, and I had food poisoning. My stomach started cramping, and my butt felt like it was going to explode. I told my wife that we weren't going to make it home, and she thought I was talking about the gas in the vehicle. We were low on gas, but this was not the issue.
I stopped at the nearest gas station on the way home, which was the Shell next to the ball park. Once I stopped the vehicle at the pump, I raced to the restroom, and my butt exploded with watery diaheria. I had to clean myself up, and I headed to the car at a gradual pace.
While in the car ride home with a few more stops, due to the killer diaheria. I was asked by my kids if I was alright, and I replied that I was not and that we needed to make it home as soon as possible. I didn't want to ruin my car seats after all, and my stomach was bubbling.
After I made it home, I jetted into the bathroom again. The killer diaheria was attacking me at a rapid pace. I had to get my wife to run out and get me some Pepto Bismol to help me because I would not make it to the store. My stomach was killing me, and my butt started to get a rash.
While she was out, I tried to take a relaxing bath to help with my stomach. I had to keep jumping out of the bathtub because of the killer diaheria, and I didn't get to relax until I got some Pepto Bismol in me. She finally made it back because only Walmart was open, and I took the medicine.
I tried to go to bed to get some rest after that, but the watery diaheria kept me from sleeping. While in bed, I felt like gas was about to come out of my butt, but instead, I had diaheria. This was not fun at all. I had finally felt asleep and woke up to watery liquid and mush coming out of my clothes and butt. I am sure glad I bought that mattress cover when I bought our mattress.
I had to wash several draws and sleeping clothes throughout the night and early morning with some bed sheets. I ended up having to sleep with beach towels under my butt and no covers. It was miserable in these conditions. I ended up missing work because of the killer diaheria and drank through a bottle of Pepto.
I had my wife call the restaurant and let them know. She called the "manager" and told them about the issue. The manager apologized and said, " they were going to talk to the chef about how they were storing the chicken." They did say anything about maybe the dishes or salad could have been the issue. They directed at the chicken. I am guessing that they are selling diaheria chicken and knew about the issue. They didn't provide any type of reimbursement or offerings to help with the situation. They just apologized and said they would check on their chicken.
Beware of the Margherita grilled chicken, or you will end up with watery diaheria, missing a day of work, stuck on a toilet, missing sleep, and washing diaheria clothing and sheets. It is not fun. If you want to miss a day of work or if you are constipated, then eat the margherita grilled chicken, but don't say I...
Read moreFirst off my husband and I splurged to come there. We live in Hazlehurst, Ms. We chose Hattiesburg over Jackson due to reading poor reviews on Jackson. We started out on a bad foot when we asked for a booth verses a table, which there were plenty empty, but was told all of the booths were “dirty!” We ordered and I ordered the lunch portion Alfredo and asked how much it would cost for chicken to be added and the girl told me about $2.00 so I had her add the chicken. They were not that busy at around 2:30 pm on this Friday, but we waited and waited for our entrees and she came to us a couple of times and stated they were fixing the Alfredo. My husband had ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana dinner portion but when she finally brought our meal she said they had made a mistake with the Eggplant and had dished a lunch portion instead of a full portion like he had ordered. Unfortunately, my dish was not hot and it had about 4 little pieces of chicken on top of the fettuccine. Apparently, they let my food get cold while they corrected their mistake. I ended up just bringing mine home. I attempted to check out on the kiosk and had to get the girl to help me and she even had an issue. I had (3) $10 gift cards and I scanned each one and was going to use my debit card to pay the balance which was $4 and some change. I always leave my tip in cash which I planned to do. However the kiosk, without my permission added a $6.98 gratuity to the balance owed after my gift cards and once I saw that on the screen I called for help. The girl came and I told her I did not want the $6.98 on my balance due because I was leaving a cash tip. She said oh no that is not for a tip it is what you owe after your gift cards were deducted. I tried to show her and by then it was a scene going back and forth about the charge and she was maki g it appear that I didn’t want to leave a tip. I explained to her and even showed he’d I was going to leave cash for her tip. It was very embarrassing at that point!! She said she was going to the main register to fix it and while she was gone with my debit card she scanned my debit card ti include the $6.98 tip. I pulled out my phone as she was coming back to our table to check my bank transactions and it had been charged to my debit card. She came back to our table and said ok as though she had corrected it and I told her NO, you charged my card for the incorrect amount. She loudly says. Oh, oh I will see if my manager can fix it and on and on until we were so embarrassed I just told her to forget it. She never gave me the receipt and my husband and I were so embarrassed we just told her to forget it. This is very upsetting to have this sort of thing happen over a birthday celebration meal for my husband. By the way the charge for the 4 little pieces of chicken, and I mean little pieces, was...
Read moreI dont normally eat at Olive Garden but a companion and I decided to stop in for a change of pace. Well we didn't know that Southern Miss was having graduation that day so the place was swamped. We were told the wait time would be 25 or 30 minutes but we were seated in 15. The waitress was running around like crazy because no one had expected the rush. It's really up to management to know what going on in the community and inform the staff ahead of time so it wasn't her fault. She stopped by to say she's sorry for the wait and she would be right back. She messed up my drink order and the appetizer took forever. Once again they were swamped and I liked the person I was with so not a huge deal. I got the seafood pasta and she got the soup and breadsticks. It took a real long time for pasta to come out and it was kinda cold. It was decent, I enjoyed the flavor but it had started to thicken a lot. We had planned on dessert but it was about two hours now I think so we paid up and left. The server was really nice just stretched thin so I left a tip. I saw managers walking around but not helping to expedite the food. Cmon guys, grab drinks, clear tables, do what you can to help staff. This was probably a one time thing. She and I will try again later and see how it is. If the quality is better I'll...
