Prepare for a scorching review of this dismal excuse for a store. One step inside and you'll feel like you've been transported back to the barren wasteland of 1992. Not only has the management plummeted to new lows, their deceitful tactics make you question your sanity.
Oh, the joys of being lured by flashy signs boasting irresistible discounts, only to have your hopes mercilessly dashed at the checkout. It's as if the cashiers are personally offended by the mere suggestion that they part with a few measly dollars from their illustrious $7.25 an hour wage. It's almost comical, really, witnessing a supposed union of workbirds squabble with customers over pocket change. Bravo, Michaels, for transforming a simple transaction into an unexpected battle royale over $2.75!
Clearly, hard times have befallen this sad excuse for a craft store. But hey, it's not all bad news – at least they can rely on their time machine-like store layout and woeful management to make you feel trapped in retail purgatory. After all, who needs progress and innovation when you can wallow in the nostalgic agony of decades past?
In summary, if you have an insatiable desire to relive the joys of 1992 and engage in a pointless tussle over a mere few dollars, then by all means, give this pitiful establishment a visit. But for those seeking competent management, fair prices, and a semblance of respect for customers, steer clear of Michaels. You deserve better than this...
Read moreThis is usually my "go to" craft store with coupons for extra savings. However, I'm noticing they're making most coupons for online only anymore.
I called to ask a question, the man/boy was so rude. Went in for some sealer, went to cash out, lady watching the self checkouts was also rude. Seriously people. You're in customer service. If you don't know how to have manners and be friendly, find another line of work please. Customers are there to spend money; therfore, giving you a paycheck. No customers, no jobs, no money (however, reading some other reviews, people don't get that self checkouts are already taking their jobs).
I was just there within the last week, shelves were empty/not stocked. There was even 2 rows completely empty. Almost looked like it was going out of business
Hobby Lobby doesn't do coupons, but I've found some awesome sales there. They're overall more friendly staff. I now shop there unless I have a Michael's coupon.
Also agree with another reviewer, the Michael's in D'Iberville, MS is much better than...
Read moreIs it just me? Or has Michael 's management lost their mind? I wanted to purchase 3 things that's it but I got to the one and only register there were two people in line who were having issues, the one customer said you need more people on actual registers to which we all agreed but the cashier said it wouldn't make a difference. Uh???? So those stupid self check out stations you have that will only take cards not cash when they're down and can't ask it questions and take people's jobs are not making a difference? And the manager chimed in and said she was right. OMG, so I dropped everything there at the ck out because I only had cash and of course the machines weren't taking cash and walked out!!!! I'm so done with the lack of workers in any kind of store and I refuse to use self checkout because yes it does make a difference and they do take...
