LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The brussel sprouts are delicious, but if you are trying to be healthy get the sauce on the side, its super sweet. The sweet potato is also an excellent choice for a lower carb option thats not fried, but filling. I figure I'd Spurgeon and get the cinnamon sugar bc most places lightly dust it anyway....oh no....it was a full table spoon of sugar. Also my mistake...they use white sugar not brown, like I am accustomed to. So I suggest getting toppings on the side. The wild pepper shrimp....it is not spicy at all, its a large portion of your basic fried shrimp served w ranch, and some red and banana peppers on the plates with it. Molten lava cake (my daughter ordered)w ice cream was ok...really tasted like a dark chocolate mug cake. Oddly enough it was less sweet then the rest of my meal. My perfect margarita was by far the worse perfect margarita I have ever had. I knew when they poured the neon yellow y concoction that something was not right, as should the server and bartender, but honestly I dont think they cared. I tasted the orange, but the sour mix tasted more like a grapefruit orange juice combo....I tasted absolutely no tequila, nor could smell it....and my sniffer is like a greyhound....it never fails me. I would not call this a margarita.....I mean I ve had virgian margarita s that tasted much better...this was not right at all, and who ever made it needs more practice behind the bar. So I normally am not this harsh, and here is a glimpse into why. We were on a 30 min wait with more than half the restaurant empty. So I was like short staffed no problem. However whe. We were seated i noticed there was plenty staff for that size restaurant, some where clocking out by the time we sat down, but still more then enough staff to run the what 50 tables they have. So we were tired and hungry but we decided to wait instead of going to any one of the restaurants next door. Because we had looked up the menu on line and had decided what we wanted. However when we sat down w menu s ....they were out of prime rib and had take 4 of the other items we had wanted off the menu....by this time...it was too late to go anywhere else....so I tried to make the best of it...but u can't mess up a girls...

Went a few weeks ago with a friend and her boyfriend. We all ordered, they ordered soup and a sandwich, I ordered a salad and a sandwich. Their soup came, no salad for me..... no big deal. When the sandwiches came, she brought my salad. Our sandwiches were wrong (switched) so she took everything back to correct it, even the salad...... while that was being corrected she came and refilled drinks for my friends; not mine.... didn't even ask. The correct sandwiches came out, we began eating. I put my empty glass on the edge of the table.. hint hint. Something was wrong with the sandwich, it just tasted off. I finally figured out it has the wrong sauce on it.... it had horseradish on it; it wasn't supposed to. The waitress came over and I asked for more water and she saw the uneaten sandwich and asked if I liked it. I told her no that it tasted really bad. She replied with, oh I'm sorry. She then asked my friend how was their sandwich. My friend told her that it wasn't that good, it wasn't the same as last time. They shared a full sandwich, I got the half sandwich from the lunch section. She says, well oh, I'll make you another one to go. Mind you, they ate their sandwich, mine was sitting on the plate. At this point, I tell my friends that she was ignoring me... Something was wrong, they said nah and just laughed. Waitress brought them a new sandwich to go, me nothing, not even my water. At this time the waitress asked them of they wanted a refill to go, I still haven't gotten my water. She brings them refills to go..... no water for me. The bill comes, my friend puts her card in the little folder, I'm pulling my card out of my wallet, the waitress gets their folder and looks over and sees me getting my card and says, I'll be back. She stops a few tables over(no customers are there) so I take her my folder in which she replies, I would have came back. I said it's fine, here you go. Worse service ever....i don't know if I offended our waitress or if she thought I was someone else, but I'll never be back and I'll never recommend anyone...

I am SO ashamed that I didn't take photos of our entrees and dessert! They were soooooo good!

When my boyfriend and I walked in, we were warmly greeted and immediately seated.

Our server, Brianna, brought our opening bread and butter to the table and got our order for drinks and appetizers.

The appetizer here is the stuffed mushroom platter. They were so delicious!

For entrees: I got Flo's filet with brussel sprouts and my boyfriend got the parmesan encrusted chicken breasts and bacon mac and cheese. We also both got a baked sweet potatoes with brown sugar and cinnamon for our second side.

Everything was so FLAVORFUL without being overly salty and cooked beyond perfection!! The steak was tender and juicy, but the CHICKEN BREAST is what shocked me!! It was so tender--even at its thickest parts-- that I never had to take a knife to it! I mean I did use a knife... but I didn't have to! Lol

If you're confused at why I'm taking about the chicken breast like it was mine.....we were both so impressed with our dishes that we both swapped half with each other.

And if you think you don't like brussel sprouts, you just haven't had them from Longhorn.

"Stuffed and satisfied" is an understatement! And I still filled a to-go box for home!

We also HAD to get a dessert because it was my boyfriend's late father's birthday and that was our way of honoring him.

We went with the strawberry shortcake, which we split. Also very very delicious!

We tipped our server, Brianna, greatly! We would've tipped her no matter what because that's only right, but she was truly deserving of the extra with her patient, kind, attentive demeanor, bright smile, and bubbly personality.

I'm not sure who is the strategist behind the perfection in the food, the service, and the atmosphere, but it's certainly worth driving the 1 hr and 44 minutes to experience.
