Ward's Restaurant — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

I am so very disappointed in the service my mother received today at the Ward's on 98. The woman that took her order was rude from the time she open mouth. My mom is a senior citizens she asked her about it the woman said she supposed to ask or let it known. So I asked her and she just shut window and started talking to workers about it. This is a fact you can tell from the stares they was addressing it but didn't fix it. Another woman deliver her meal . I called right away told woman how disappointed and rude and disrespectful she was. After I said my piece she said and I quote "OK". I think because I have worked in customer service if you don't have good "CUSTOMER SERVICE" DON'T WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ITS A REQUIREMENT YOU WOULD THINK . Hubby and I are in Hattiesburg for work. We kept seeing the “Wards” restaurant and decided .. why not? We don’t have one anywhere near our home. Upon entering we were greeted promptly and the sweet young lady at the counter filled us in on the history of the place and what the restaurant was famous for. She was extremely enthusiastic about the place and we could tell she was proud to be working there and happy with her job. That in itself was quite refreshing! She offered us a sample of the root beer and it was all she said it was… mmmm 😋. Miss Gabby is a shining example of what I would want as an employee.. she totally set the tone for our visit and we are actually stopping in, in the morning for breakfast. With all the Wards I've been to it's hit and mostly miss. The chili dogs are nasty old and the chili is watered down. The best thing about this place is their fries. They are delicious however every time I go I ask for them to be well done so that they are crispy but they never do that!!!!! Don't get me wrong they normally are fresh but how darn hard is it to make them crispy???? The worst Wards is the one on Hardy st. next to the hwy entrance. You can tell they hate their job for one the sign they have in the drive window "No adding to your order " blah blah blah so unprofessional I don't go there much anymore because I'm tried of asking for what I want only...
