Bomboy's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Havre de Grace

I've lived in Havre de Grace my whole life and have always loved Bomboys, however, my last experience there is what prompts the 5 star review.

My husband and I came to Bomboys with a special request to help us with an intimate gender reveal for our first baby. The 3 girls working (I wish I had their names) were beyond thrilled to help us with this special request and could hardly wait to start our order before handing over the envelope, they were the sweetest! They even gave us time to set up in the parlor, and brought our ice creams to us! We soon found out that we were having a baby girl by dipping into our ice creams to find PINK sprinkles inside.

We’re new to MD moved from Texas so it was nice to see that this was something we could take our 4y/o daughter to as an experience, luckily we stopped by the Candy Shop first because it was beautiful and the customer service was top tier. But shortly thereafter we’d gone to the ice cream shop and the three teenage girls working there clearly did not want to be there at all we didn’t get an authenticate feel for it and it was more of a “What do you want” attitude it did not feel like the environment we’d hoped to explore. I went in recently for a milkshake, I’ve been coming here since I was kid and have always loved it. But this last time, I was served by two young girls with horrible attitudes. While looking over the menu they stood in front of me and stared the entire time, once I ordered, they slammed my milkshake down on the counter and said “straws are over there” I’m sorry but this is so disrespectful. I just spent money for something, and I was going to tip them generously until then. This isn’t a sole experience either, after talking to more people, they have also experienced this kind of treatment from the younger women working at this establishment.
