Ordered Frank's delivery for the first time and was not disappointed, will definitely be ordering from again. We've been told they make a good pizza but truth be told, I don't trust my Marland friend's judgment of pizza/cheese steaks/hoagies being from Philly... I want a crusty, chewy roll and hand made pizza crust, no one wants a pre-made crust rolled through a conveyer belt oven, if you do - DiGiorno!
We ordered a medium half pepperoni, half mushroom pizza along with a mushroom, provolone, fried onion cheese steak. The pizza was thin, crust was crisp and the sauce was flavorful, not too sweet. I personally prefer a silver dollar size pepperoni versus a dime but that's apples to oranges. When it comes to mushrooms, I'm probably on the outs with this but I love a canned mushroom on my pizza and they provided! The picture I posted shows the pie topped with garlic powder and chili pepper flakes that we added.
The cheese steak was the best one we've had since moving to Marland, the only exception it was a little too juicy. By the time it arrived the roll was soggy on the edges, if the roll was toasted before slathered with juicy meats and cheese it may travel a better. Hoping they don't put lettuce on the bottom of a cheese steak hoagie because that's sacrilegious -- will...
Read moreI finally made time to stop here after a settlement nearby. Why did I wait so long! I was told by many to eat here and it was even better than expected. Not only were the owner/staff friendly, even the other customers were describing what to try first and what to get next on the guaranteed return visits. The prices were on par with others, but the quality and volume of food is the huge difference. You will be full! And possibly have some leftover for later. That makes it a rare find these days. The "Special Steak" large sub with Freedom Fries was only $12. I say "only" because of the amount of real food in that combo. I also added the Mozz Stix because I assumed it wouldn't be enough food. The bag weighed a ton! Dinner and a late night meal for later. And SO good! I could eat there every day. In fact I plan to try the lasagna tonight because they are actually open later, and Saturday will be the Deluxe Pizza after showings. I'd meet clients there, but I don't want to share...
Read moreWe ordered 4 cheesesteaks. 3 chicken cheesesteaks and 1 regular. When we got home, opened them and saw that the rolls were toasted and edges burnt on all cheesesteaks. The rolls are very dry. Cheese is laid on the bottom of the roll and it's a minimal amount of cheese. The steak is then placed on top of the cheese and not mixed into the steak. This was disappointing as the steak was on the dry side to begin with and so could barely taste the cheese. We ordered fried onions on 2 of the cheesesteaks and the onions were semi-raw with a bit of a crunch. I put ketchup on the cheesesteak to moisten it some. The cheesesteaks are expensive and if you want provolone (instead of American cheese) you pay $1.50 extra. The fried onions (which were barely fried) cost another $1.50. Overall the cheesesteaks were a real disappointment... $62 total to realize we should have just gone to Wawa for 1/2 the price. We won't frequent this...
