Just returned from 10 days in Kauai. Single best thing I ate was a Sugar Loaf Pineapple Frosty from Aloha Ola Farm Stand on Kūhiō Hwy 56 in Kilauea. This is located about 15 miles north of Kapa’a in a small, bright green building with a wooden walk up window. It is 100% Sugar Loaf Pineapple cut into wedges at the peak of freshness and frozen, run through a machine that turns it into the most delicious 100% fruit sorbet made-to-order. And they have a variety of toppings to choose from such as toasted coconut.
When I say this place was so good, I mean it was ‘go back 3 more times before we left’ good! And don’t sleep on their fantastic fruit popsicles made with real cane sugar and fruit juice(s)! They were great, too! Until I return, I’ll be dreaming of these...
