Food quality and taste have gone downhill big time. Not the same as 10 to 15 years ago. Chicken Katsu was the best back in the day with a thin light crisp, very flavorful and fried to a nice golden color using panko flake style. Just like how a Japanese restaurant would prepare it. Now, the batter is thick, hard, (not panko way, more like mochiko chicken), overcooked, dark brown in color and tasted like eating fried thick tasteless flour dough. The chicken itself was bland and had no taste, no seasoning at all. Several tables felt sticky like a layer of grease was baked on. Had to use several wet wipes just to clean one table but even with that, the table still felt dirty. Wipes were filthy, dark brown/black dirt color upon cleaning the table. I guess they don't wipe tables, you have to clean it yourself. Even the register counter where you place your order and pay, felt greasy, dirty and sticky. Customer service was pleasant upon ordering. Very disappointed, couldn't eat it, had to throw it away as it...

The man behind the counter stated "you need to wear a mask or pull your shirt over your face"
Not wanting to looknlike I was robbing the place, I webt back to my car to retrieve masks frkm my "stash" that I thought I wouldn't be needing.
I made my purchase and left.
Experience would have been exponentially better if they weren't germophobes.
Good place to check out, great selection of plate lunches and baked goods.
Definitely not a "must see", more like "check it out if you're on a budget, but want a decent...

The shredded Kahlua pork is acceptable especially if you use hot sauce and trade out macaroni salad for lettuce and sesame oil. $7.00--so I got what I paid for. I don't think I would take excess risk here. The pork plate yesterday was good enough, so I went with the same alternative today. So, for shredded Kahlua pork, rice and lettuce I came to Lows twice and feel...
