I hate to give a bad review for a good place with good stuff. It was all about the service. A female staff got me an iced coffee while I was waiting for a kona mocha. While they talked about it behind the bar, a male staff grabbed the drink and start adding things into it. So I guessed he was trying to fix it and I was right. As long as I know, mocha uses espresso shot and iced coffee doesn't. So I asked if he could make a new one. He said it was exactly same recipe. I tasted it and it was just like an iced coffee. When I told him about it he grabbed my drink and added so much chocolate sauce and gave it back to me..
I told him I didn't want it and it was fine that he didn't have to make a new one then I went to back to my family sittimg at the table. Soon after, I was called because someone made a new drink which tasted actually similar to the previous one. So they either don't use espresso shot for thier mocha or just made same one to fool me. That was fine with me, at least someone tried to do something. So I was drinking it.
Then, that same guy asked me how the drink was. I said it was fine. Then he literally shouted so that everyone in the shop could hear him "oh, now you like it". He just couldn't stop trying to poke me till the end.
I am guessing he is one of the owners from his attitude. And he made me believe that he would try anything to fix those drinks ordered wrong if he thinks customer wouldn't notice the...
Read moreWhat a bummer. The magic from years prior has been lost. There are no longer sandwiches offered and a huge part of the menu is gone. They used to have WONDERFUL fresh sandwiches with local purple chips and HUGE beautiful fresh açaí bowls… but now unfortunately things are different. The açaí base smoothie comes from a soft serve machine and the flavor and texture just isn’t the same as when it was made to order. Now it seems just your standard run of the mill beach town açaí bowl. If I were basing the review on a basic acai bowl and had no prior experience here, it would be ok (nothing to warrant a return visit). We just miss the uniqueness and options from years prior and would have been happy to still get those things at a higher price. Heck I was prepared to pay $20 for the old veggie sandwich (it used to be $14 if I recall). If only it were still an option… It looks like the unicorn cone still exists, thank goodness. And if you’re craving a typical açaí bowl for $14, it’s still a safe bet (they also offer upgrades like peanut butter $1 and a pineapple bowl). No pineapple wall display during our visit. There are still photos on the wall of what used to be, as a tease. RIP sandwiches and crazy concoctions that were IG worthy. Bring back the OG...

I found a few pics of the "unicone" on Yelp and that was enough for me to tell my friend this is the place I wanted for lunch. We got lucky and found some right in front parallel parking but there isn't much so you might have to park up a bit from it and walk down. Still, you'd figure it out.
Inside is all pineapples and friendliness. The staff were helpful and answered questions while I browsed the huge menu. It's family-style seating inside and when they are busy expect to share a table with some others if you are a small group.
I chose to get one of their huge lunch sandwiches with bacon and avocado - it was fresh and delicious and hit the spot.
I also got the Ube and Passionfruit Unicone with sprinkles (unicorn cone) and LOVED the ice cream. Ube was my favorite but it was all good.
I follow them on instagram and the owner is always making new cookies and ice cream combinations. It's tons of fun. Any time I'm in this area, this is going to be a spot for me.
They have HUGE acai bowls as well and tons of other flavors and coffee drinks....
