I've had better Thai food in a mall food court. Anyone who says this place is good has clearly never had authentic Thai food or been to Thailand. We specifically asked for no spice as my mother cannot have any and confirmed 3x that each dish was spice free. We waited a VERY long time for our food and each dish arrived with chilis in it, despite clearly asking for none.
I ordered the chuchee tuna and the fish came WAY overcooked - my dad thought it was pork and the veggies were completely raw like a salad (when advertised as steamed). On top of that the sauce on the tuna had a thick phlegm like texture. The dish tasted disgusting, we couldn't eat it. The "tom yum" soup (if you can call it that) was overly sweet and had the same veggies they put in every stir fry/noodle/rice dish that does not belong in tom yum soup. Our server, who seemed to be the manager/owner didn't know how to use the iPad to take our order and didn't communicate clearly, simply laughing at everything we said. I raised these concerns to her when she asked how our meal was and she didn't offer any solutions to make it right (ie. re-cook the raw veggies or take it off our bill) but just apologized emphasizing how long it took for us to get our food yet every dish was done incorrectly and just walked away, acknowledging it was all their fault but did nothing to rectify it.
Most disappointing meal & experience we had on Big Island. Truly awful service. If you value professional ethical service and real Thai food,...
Read moreAmazing! Best meal I have had in over 100 days of trips to Hawaiian islands. My wife and I also have spent months in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, eating at the best places, and many meals at the famous Pok-Pok in Portland, and this place was equal to or better than most of them. The green curry (with pork) was tremendous and the Summer rolls were excellent. But the real surprise was the mango sticky rice -- it was fantastic, as good as the best I've had in Chiang Mai, and the mango as perfectly ripe and succulent. Shockingly good. Every dish was as good as any I have ever had in any Thai restaurant in NYC, Portland, or other foodie havens in the US. I have had hundreds of meals on the Islands, and this was by far the best, hands down. The staff was super nice, our food was brought to us relatively quickly...and all the veg, etc, was fresh and delicious. This place totally should have across the board 5 star reviews, based on our experience there. My wife is a great cook (I'm the sous chef, stirring and chopping, LoL, and the seasoning and spice guy) and we both were in foodie heaven at this place. Obviously, highly...
Read moreI normally don’t give review. But I just feel I have to write something this time. We looked up this place in google because it has good reviews. However, we waited long time the food still now arrive yet. After one full day activities and being hungry, the wait is not fun. The funny thing is we ordered a beer and after 30 minutes it still didn’t arrive. After we checked with a passing waitress, we were told the beer we ordered is out of stock. 😓. And the waitress told us the delay is because they only have one cook and they have big parties to serve. I can understand the situation. I do think they should notify us the long wait before seating us. It passes 50 minutes, the food still didn’t arrive as I’m writing the review. So, I hope whoever is considering this place, do remember to ask about how long is the delay and double verify your order. The food finally arrived when I’m about to wrap up the review. The taste is quite good though. After finish our main courses, our mango sticky rice arrived in a take out box. Maybe, I should order take...
