We arrived at around 1:30 pm and were sat within 15 minutes, which is about the extent of our enjoyment with the experience.
Our waitress took nearly ten minutes to take our orders. There were two of us dining in. She took my order, which was a lunch entree for one, and then left. I had to call her back to take my brother’s order. She did not apologize for this oversight, and it frankly was as odd as it was rude.
The soup (chicken and gnocchi & minestrone) that came with our entrees took another ten minutes to arrive to our table. They were warm and delicious, which we were thankful for after the strange start to our dining experience. However, our waitress forgot to offer cheese until after we had already finish half of our bowls. Our entrees (alfredo pasta and marinara ravioli) were mediocre. I do not recommend the ravioli. We were never asked if we wanted cheese with our entrees or more breadsticks.
When we finished our entrees, we waited for our waitress to return. The restaurant had become substantially less busy, to the point of nearly being empty, so the wait time grated a bit. We ordered three desserts (black tie cake, brownie lasagna, and strawberry cake). The waitress took our orders and then proceeded to give us the check, well before our desserts came out. We got the feeling that we were being rushed out, which was frustrating considering that we were the ones constantly waiting. We paid before our desserts came out.
The problem with this is that we believe that the waitress ended her shift after we paid. However, we had a problem with one of our desserts. The brownie lasagna had an odd crunch to it in one of its bottom layers. We stopped eating it as soon as we noticed. We waited for our waitress to walk back around, which never happened. We finished our other two desserts and had to flag down another server to report the fact that the brownie had gone bad.
We explained the situation to the other server, and she tested the brownie lasagna herself and agreed that the layer was hard and had probably gone bad. She left to go get the manager. The manager was a whole issue in of itself. When we told her about the hard layer in the brownie lasagna, she claimed that “the dessert normally had some crunch to it,” which I knew wasn’t true since I’ve been to the restaurant before and had this exact dessert previously. She offered to either bring us a new one at the table or to go. We agreed to take it to go. We tried to tell her that we didn’t want it, but she insisted. We believe that the manager may have assumed that we didn’t want to pay for the dessert, as she then asked if we wanted to check. We had to inform her that we had already paid.
We checked the dessert we brought home later, and it had also been crunchy. Considering that the dessert had been in our fridge for hours by that point, this was not a case of the brownie simply being frozen.
The restaurant itself was loud and dirty. Other customers waited extremely long times just to receive their food and checks. We watched as they had to look around every few minutes for a server to talk to. Plates were left on tables for easily over ten minutes. We tipped 10% and have no intention of ever...

Read moreI'm going to give 2 stars for this initial take-out experience and I hope to be able to give more stars later.... if we ever decide to dine here again.
We placed our take-out order 2 hours prior to dinner so our pick up time was 7:10pm. My wife arrived at the establishment at 7:12 and she was told, "I think your order is not quite ready yet, just give it a few minutes."
At 7:35pm a manager came and asked if all of the people in the reception area was waiting for take out. My wife informed him that she's been waiting for 25 minutes. He went to check on our order and when he returned, he said that they were just waiting for 1 more item. My wife then asked if our food was still going to be hot since one of the bags that he was handing to her was already on the table when she first arrived.
40 minutes after our original pick up time (which was the time the restaurant gave us by the way), my wife left with our 8 meals, 3 appetizers and 2 desserts.
We order take-out at least 3 times a week from different restaurants in Kapolei and this by far is the longest wait time ever.
Most of the family enjoyed the taste of their food (salmon, chicken parm, chicken fettuccine, shrimp fettuccine) with the exception of the lasagna (cold to the point that the cheese was no longer melted) and the spaghetti from the kids menu (like seriously, this is the first time any of my 4 children didn't enjoy spaghetti and we're talking about 20 years worth of ordering kids menu spaghetti). Oh, and all of the fried appetizers were soggy and we needed to put them in the oven.
Hopefully the dessert alone will be worth a star but...
