Wanted to leave a review because I feel like this place is so close to being a 5 star place, it’s right there but needs small adjustments. The food quality and taste was great. Really good burger and the toppings tasted great.
But when I was ordering, I felt a like I was such a bother for evening ordering. Just had a totally normal order and I felt rushed and an annoyance for my presence being there. I was about to leave a tip and literally was like no that’s dumb I’m not going to feel like an annoyance by simply standing here and give you more money. Next, the price whatever yeah it’s steep but don’t skimp on the fries and the toppings. I got all the toppings and had to check to even make sure all the toppings were there. Those toppings are minimal cost to increase slightly but make the costumer feel like they’re getting their moneys worth. If you charge high and then skimp on that stuff it just left a bad taste in my mouth, figurative and almost literal. Feels like “oh here’s your 3 little chopped up onions, 2 little jalapeños, 1 pickle and a tiny bit of smash sauce. And you get exactly half a potato not a fry more”. Like load it up and it’d barely cost more but it would bring people back. You don’t want to be the place like yeah it’s good but I’m always hungry when I leave, vs being the place, “Oh yeah they load you up with fries”. Which by the way I spent $36 and yes was still hungry.
Again the burger was great, and the atmosphere was cool. I think it’s a bit odd there’s no bathroom and your place is a “use your hands” and you only offer some paper towels. My hands smelled all night till I got home. Not a big deal but just saying and this...
Read moreSearching for a good burger and a place to watch game two of the NBA Finals, I did a quick Yelp search and came across a burger joint called Smash Daddy’s with near-perfect reviews. A 10 minute walk from our Airbnb, my wife and I embarked on the short trip. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the nostalgic sounds of early 2000’s hip hop/r&b. An employee at the counter greeted us and we proceeded to order the following: Black and Blue Dubz burger (burger of the week for my wife), The Dubs (for me), and two frozen Mai Tai’s.
First out was our Mai Tai’s, which were delicious and a nice contrast against the fairly humid weather. Our food orders arrived at our table roughly 10 minutes later; however, my wife’s order was missing the requested added bacon. When I brought this to one of the employee’s attention, she apologized and immediately had bacon added to the burger. While enjoying our tasty burgers, we watched the game on a huge television that is strategically placed in the restaurant in a way that everyone can view it.
We enjoyed our experience at Smash Daddy’s and loved seeing the employees joyfully engage with local, repeat customers. If you’re looking for a delicious burger, fries, and an adult beverage (they had boozy milkshakes that were really popular); I recommend Smash Daddy’s if you’re...

Burgers were a little smaller than you might expect but ended up being enough. Toppings are good.
Fries are good and you get a lot of them.
My wife had a beer. Looked smaller than a pint but you’d have to ask them for the actual size.
Milkshake was very good but also very small. Others have commented on the small size too. It’s only about 60-70% of what you might expect.
So it really comes down to value for the money. The food was good, the service was good, the place is clean. The burgers are good but a tad under-sized, but served with plenty of fries. The milkshake was, honestly, comically small. We had two “Dubs”, a shake, and a beer. Our combined bill for two people and a tip was over $60.
So, while no real complaints other than the small milkshakes, the value just isn’t there. Glad I went once but not sure I’ll go back. Cool...
