While I do applaud the quickness of their sandwich making skills. I do have to point out that out of the 10 times I have gone here, there have been many mistakes. Mostly forgetting to leave out an item that is unwanted. These mistakes I usually brush off as it's not going to kill me.
Now, everytime we have been here we spend roughly $50+ on four sandwiches. A little pricey you might think, but if you see what subway charges for half the meat I will gladly pay.
Now the unfortunate which is why I'm giving them the low rating. A few weeks ago they forgot to give us a pickle. I called and let them know. They asked if I wanted to come back to get it? I said no, can you put my name down so the next time I come I will just pick it up!
Today, I go and order my usual $50 worth of sandwiches and let the guy know about the pickle incident. Another gentleman comes over and asks what was the name? I oblige and tell him. He looks on a wall and there is no name???
He then says "I will go ahead and give you a pickle THIS TIME!" As if I was lying about the incident? I said.. "This time?". Shocked as if I was asking for a $15 dollar sandwich. I'm thinking..Wow! I just spent $50 on sandwiches and a pickle is what I want for free! After being a little offended by this matter I was just wanting to leave so I gathered the sandwiches and the free pickle that now I apparently inconvenienced them over and received one last rude comment from the rude gentleman. And that was a BY-YEEEE!
THIS was uncalled for. So I came home and went through my bank statements and found we have spent Over $400 dollars total on all the visits. Not once have we complained or assked for anything free. And now I'm getting harrased for a $1.49 pickle??
I have no ill will towards this establishment. I actually enjoy (most of the time) how nice and friendly the staff is.
But it only takes one experience to ruin it.
Update. I see I may have over reacted as this place is Really good most of the time. You just have to realize that this place probably has so many people coming in trying to deviate from the menu? So I understand there will be mistakes. And unfortunately there probably are people going in saying they didn't get a pickle. If I reviewed the multiple mistakes some other unamed fast food places around town make. I would be complaining all day.
I will be returning with a little more compassion and...
Read moreTired of paying $30+ for sub-par food. For $30+ they don't even have regular mustard, unless you want to go through the inconvenience of small mustard packages... Every sandwich has a catchy name, but in all honesty, it just makes it harder to figure out what you want, why is it so hard to just keep things simple. Why can't I go in and say, let me get a turkey sandwich? They said the cookies were homemade, man that thing was in a plastic wrapper, and was hard as a brick... Yeah.. Homemade last month maybe... Take a lesson from Subway, slow down and ask the customer to be a part of the sandwich making experience. I went in, wasn't sure what to get, so I had to decipher the menu, my wife is very particular about the type of deli meat she eats, and because I felt somewhat rushed, I accidentally got her a sandwich with ham on it, when I know she hates ham. We both like Dijon mustard, but this mustard was super hardcore on the horseradish taste, which was off putting for my wife. They didn't even ask me if I wanted mustard on mine, I just know my wife hates mayo, so I had to make sure they didn't put mayo on her sandwich. I think they charged me for a third sandwich, that I didn't order, when they handed it to me, and I said I didn't order a third sandwich, they blankly stared at me, while I reminded them that I ordered a pickle, two sandwiches, and two "homemade" chocolate chip brick cookies. It was an unreal experience, which I will not be repeating, instead go down to the corner market, and get a Steak Plate, pay less and be happier. Cold Bacon on that King Kamehameha sandwich... What a joke. Also, they can't be bothered to cut your long sandwich in half, but I'll be damned if they didn't cut the pickle in half... Am I taking crazy pills? Maybe I want to save the other half of my sandwich for later? That pickle though, man, you best cut that mammoth in half, one bite and you'll be full for...
Read moreTotal disappointment, second time there and I do not recommend. I went in two days ago for a sandwich and the place was empty. There was no welcome or anything, just "what can I get you?" and "do you want bacon on that?" Then he walked away after watching to make sure I added a tip and tapped my card. Just robotic service, no thank you, no follow up or anything. The sandwich was made very quick, less than a minute, and the guy who made it just said "#12 ready" or something and put it on the counter. No bag or napkins available, no thank you or anything when I picked it up. The staff wasnt rude, they were just completely zoned out and uncaring. The worst part is 20 min later when I opened the sandwich and took the first bite and tasted only bread, mayo and cheese. The sandwich was a premium one (#12) and supposed to have avocado spread, which is a $2 add on. It did not have any avocado or spread, only a few tiny pieces of super thin taste-less veggies, a lot of cheese and one single paper thin slice of turkey that you could just about see through. For $14, this was a terrible, tiny little cheese and mayo sandwich......
