“Best ribs I’ve ever had” says my BBQ loving husband.

My 1 year old & 3 year old housed the beans, cornbread and pulled pork. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh, delicious peppery slaw and their homemade sauces. My whole family rated it 5 stars and the best food of our trip (and we’ve been all over multiple islands).

We were so appreciative of the quality and cuts of the meats. Nothing overly fatty and all the meats were succulent and rib meat fell right he off the bone.

Four adults ordered two combos and it was perfect. We added a side of beans and Mac n cheese for the kids and shared everything. It ruled. We ended up ordering an extra cornbread and slaw cause we wanted more!

When you first walk in you aren’t sure you’re in the right place. The chef is making the food at his home and bringing it into the bar a few days a week and cooking at home on the other days. Probably by the time you read this there will be an Uncle Bob’s BBQ oasis and global franchise cause this bbq is so good.

I hope they’ll get a couple high chairs soon and some keiki cups. What would also be amazing are a few toddler plates or bowls that suction to the table.

In one of the most unique experiences, I never thought I would find some of the best barbecue in Hawaii. I stumbled upon uncle Bob's BBQ. On Google maps I read the reviews and the raves people said and they made me hungry. There are other popular spots on the island however the way customers referred to Bob's food, intrigued me. I decided to try it for myself, and I must say I did not disappoint. The brisket was my favorite tender flavorful melt in your mouth. Highly Recommend! Uncle Bob is very friendly and makes delicious food for very fair prices. Located about 8 mins from the airport, we found the place by just driving by at the end of our trip. The chili and rice blew me away and if we go back to Hilo I will visit Bob’s again just for that alone!
