I searched and searched all the grocery stores for the rye cocktail bread you find on the mainland in the deli sections of most grocery stores, and had no luck what so ever. This is how I stumbled upon this little bakery after running an errand at the UPS store....
When I explained my lack of finding what I needed to make my appetizers for our Holiday meal, Marlana offered to bake me some rye baguettes! Yay!
While in her bakery I saw all sorts of goodies in the display case. She then told me about her Holiday baking orders of pies and pumpkin crunch...I ordered 1/2 a sheet of pumpkin crunch for our Thanksgiving feast. It was absolutely amazing and everyone loved it (just like she said they would!).
Please, go check out Marlana's bakery and pick up something you and your family will enjoy. Marlana just recently opened her bakery which is her lifelong dream, let's help her succeed! Stop in and give Marlana your aloha and business, you...

This is a one-woman operation, and that one woman is crazy talented, and everything is top-notch quality. Since I learned about VIP at the end of our trip, I stopped on our last day on the island, and brought home some macadamia shortbread cookies (omg) and a gorgeous focaccia (OMG). Seriously, stop by here early in your trip. I’ve tried many different bake shops on several islands, and none of them compare...
Read moreMy wife walked in the store at 4:57. The owner was aggressively rude and explained they close in 3 min. My wife asked if she had any malasada's left and owner lectured her on the hours of operation once again and that they dont have any left also explained they do not fill their malasadadas with any filling. Terrible attitude and seemed to be looking for a argument from paying customers. Next day I go in and purchase malasada's and a slice of $9.00 cheesecake. We get into a conversation and she lets me know that they dont need tourist money that the locals keep her in business! Stay away from this place. If you want the best malasadads in Kapa'a with cream filling go to Passion bakery a mile down the road they have...
