El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Hayward

I stopped at this place because of time constraints. I went through the drive thru, I got there at 9:05 pm. The cashier literally took up to five minutes on each drive through order; with 20 feet between vehicles, I was stunned. I couldn't figure out why Danny the cashier was taking so long. I could have left like so many others, but by this point; I was curious. Did the cashier not speak English? What was the major hold up? It was easy to time each order because of the clock on my dashboard. I finally reached the cashier, Danny said flipently this is Pollo Loco! It it always takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. I watched as he took breaks between orders for no reason at all. I finally received my order at 9:49 pm. I asked another employee for the cashiers name to avoid conflict, and sadly; I also learned that the PL lobby was slow. There was really no reason for the delay, Danny just felt empowered by being a complete slouch. He just didn't feel like working. I don't know, maybe Danny was the owner 🤔 and didn't need the money PL lost when people became annoyed by the extremely long wait time. People began honking behind me until I asked them to pay attention to the cashier taking the orders. I will never...

On Friday 6/28/19 my mom and i went for dinner, we did our order, as we sat at the table there was a young man next table, he looked like he was lost or homeless, after a few minutes i just asked him he would like to eat something since he was just looking at people eating i thought maybe he is hungry. I bought him food, he started crying saying thank you thank you, one of the employees said he asked just for a glass of water, he had no money no phone, his clothes were clean, he did not smell of alcohol or drugs, he just did not remember how he ended in Hayward. I called the local Police and in less than ten minutes they arrived and helped him, they called FALCK (ambulance services) and transported him to a facility so he can get help to go back home. Im glad i helped. Employees at El Pollo Loco did not care about this young man, have no human sensitivity. When i asked for a container to take my leftovers, the girl just twisted her eyes and the guy that cooks the chicken gave me a look to me too. Food is not good as...

El Pollo Loco,the one Located in Hayward California has the Kelley's by the taste buds, their citrus chicken, is awesome. ... A couple of weeks ago we were in San Antonio Texas where we also ate at a El Pollo Loco... the difference was their Chicken had more of a pepper taste considering the local residents like things just a little more spicy... All in all, we are very pleased to have them,... It seems the staff is proactive in making your dining experience a pleasant one...That was especially true with the one in San Antonio TX...I wished I could remember the manager's name,...she was a joy to interact with, truly a people person...I'm not the Buffalo Bills quarterback, my claim to fame was being a US Coast Guard Air Rescue Corpsman out of San Diego,... one of my best jobs* now an old retired ER Nurse...*We Just Had Dinner at El Pollo, THE Black Base Ball Caps, I guess are ok, BUT, The LOGO "EPL"...has Very Little Imagination...Has Corporate Asked Their Employees about a better LOGO??
