I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghazni Afghan Kabobs, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for my taste buds! From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere.
The menu at Ghazni Afghan Kabobs offers a delightful array of traditional Afghan dishes, but it was their kabobs that truly stole the show. The succulent, tender pieces of meat were seasoned to perfection and cooked over an open flame, resulting in a smoky and irresistible flavor that I simply couldn't get enough of.
One of the standout dishes was their Lamb Kabob. The meat was incredibly juicy and infused with a harmonious blend of spices that brought out its natural richness. Each bite was a burst of flavors, leaving me craving more with every mouthful. The accompanying fluffy saffron rice and fresh salad perfectly complemented the kabobs, making for a well-rounded meal.
Not only were the kabobs exceptional, but the service at Ghazni Afghan Kabobs was outstanding as well. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were attentive, friendly, and offered insightful suggestions on menu choices. Their genuine passion for the cuisine was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor that exuded a cozy and authentic Afghan vibe. It was the perfect setting to savor the delightful flavors while enjoying the company of friends or family.
If you're a fan of Afghan cuisine or simply looking to try something new, Ghazni Afghan Kabobs is an absolute must-visit. Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Ghazni Kababs in downtown Hayward. I ordered Qabuli Palaw, Mantu, and a Chicken Shawarma Plate, but the food quality was shockingly poor. The rice tasted like it was leftover, and the meat under the rice was undercooked—a serious food safety issue. When I called the server and explained the problem, she said she would speak to her boss.
Later, when I went to order more food, I informed the owner that I was upset because I had eaten some of the rice, but the meat was inedible due to being undercooked. His response was incredibly unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he simply said, “I won’t charge you for the Qabuli Palaw since you didn’t like it.” I made it clear that this was not about personal preference—the meat was raw and unsafe to eat.
After waiting 10 minutes, the owner returned with an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. He aggressively held the plate in my face, implying that because I had eaten some of the rice, I didn’t deserve a refund. I never asked for a free meal—he was the one who initially said he wouldn’t charge me. However, instead of handling the situation with professionalism, he insulted me and arrogantly declared, “I don’t care how you review me. I am the boss of everyone here.”
This restaurant is filthy, and the owner has zero understanding of customer service or food safety. The way he treated me was disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright unacceptable. If this is how they handle complaints about undercooked meat, I can only imagine what goes on in their kitchen. Avoid this place at all costs. There are far better Afghan restaurants in the area that actually care about their customers and serve properly...
Read moreThis place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We placed an order for 5 plates totaling in over $100 today. Two of our plates look exactly the same but one order was chicken and lamb combo verses other was chicken and lamb. Neither of the orders were labeled so I called to ask if they can remake one because I’m Hindu and we don’t eat beef products. The guy on the phone kept telling me to sniff the plates and ill be able to tell the difference. I told him I don’t want to take the chance and would prefer if he could just remake my one plate out of the 5 plates we ordered. The guy on the phone said he can charge me for a new plate but couldn’t replace the order since I DIDN’T TELL HIM TO LABEL THE PLATES. Why would I tell him to label the plates that’s just common practice amounts restaurant’s. He then continued to tell me to bring the plates in and he can SNIFF THE MEATS TO TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE. I told him that’s unhygienic and I’m not going to have him sniff my food during covid especially. He told me he could charge me for a new plate and hung up the phone while I was talking. I’m extremely disappointed that we even gave them our business in the first place. Being that this is a Muslim restaurant you would think they under the importance of practicing religious restrictions. If you went to a restaurant and they have you pork and similar meat and told you to trust them based on them just sniffing the food how would you feel being that you’re a halal restaurant. This was the worst customer experience I’ve had in a very long time! I love supporting local small businesses but honestly this...
