Plaza Center Shops and Office Tower — Local services in Hayward

I visited the Safeway store here several times. It is okay for a generic Safeway store. I got nectarines here a few times that were really good. Have a reasonable supply of dairy products breakfast cereals ice cream etc. It was October and many of the pumpkins out front in the bins were starting to rot. The store could be a little cleaner but it does fit with the neighborhood. I joined the Safeway club card thing so that I could get additional discounts. I set it up on my phone and it seems the only way I could present my card was to type in my phone number which was okay. I don't know how you're supposed to present your card from the app. When I did ask the attendant there she pointed out that at this particular station the hand scanner device was broken. Oh well. What a surprise. I always go through the self checkout. I was a little surprised when I was not able to purchase an alcoholic beverage by going through the self checkout. It makes sense now that I think about it. It needed real person to verify age and such. They're always seems to be a open station at the...

I went to the deli two days in a row 6/20 and 6/21 to get sandwiches made. What a mess. First, no one there to serve customers, we had to wait about 15 minutes before someone came to help us. Then they didn't have more than half of the ingredients to make sandwiches. No Bacon, no bread, hardly any condiments. Hardly any choices of meat. It was a MESS.

So then we come back the next day and it was even worse. They still hadn't stocked up on anything!!!!!

They had one roll left for one sandwich, and I wanted 3. No tomatoes, no pickles, no olives, hardly anything!!?! 😳😱

Standard strip center with adequate parking and fairly clean area. The Safeway grocery store is larger than most in the area and Fed-Ex, Starbucks, and banks/credit unions are easy to get in and out of with decent service.
