McDonald's — Restaurant in Hayward

My twin grandsons are the ONLY reason I ever go to McDonald’s. A happy meal treat usually makes them smile. UNFORTUNATELY the industrial Blvd location is the one closest to my house and on the way home from their school. Absolutely every single time I go there they leave something out of the order and today it was the TOY! Picture it, twin 5 year olds, 2 supposed to be identical happy meals except that one box HAS NO TOY INSIDE! I now ALWAYS check for sauce, straws fries etc and usually one is missing. Today was no different. Had to ask for, again, for 2 straws and 2 sauces. Stupid me I never thought to double check the toy. I really hate incompetence! If you are going to do a job, any job, PLEASE please pay attention to the details and do the job completely. Give your customers their money’s worth. So now does grandma drive BACK to get the missing toy? Once upon a time maybe but with the what it would cost in gasoline is more than this old woman in a fixed income can afford. I visit this place quite often, but usually just as a drive thru customer. I've always received good service as a drive thru customer, but lately I've made some indoor visits and service was not up to par with what I had come to expect.

The staff at the front counter seem very disorganized and overwhelmed.

But the most troubling incidents came with my restroom visits: there is a very marked absence of the handwashing sign. In one of my visits an employee was in the handicapped stall, and when she finally exited she directly left the restroom without washing her hands!!! HEALTH CODE VIOLATION and certainly why people get sick at fast food places! I do not care what she did, or didn't do, while in the bathroom, or whether she returned to work, or went home, but I found it incredibly disconcerting, and I ultimately opted not to purchase anything at my visit. I did try to report this incident, but my wait time to talk to someone was getting too...

2:45am long line at drive thru. workers refused to take anyone's order on drive thru and we waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes thinking anytime now.. nope. workers inside nonchalantly walking around doing nothing. people got out of their cars and began honking. they don't care. eventually everyone REVERSED out of drive thru and left. why? why would you hold us all up in a drive thru if you can't serve us? just close down or close the drive thru until you can actually serve people. frustrating because I had to drive 15 minutes to this location as it's one of a few open 24hr. never had a worse drive thru experience and never going back there. seriously though it bothers me how little they value our time. atleast tell us you can't serve us! why make us wait over an hr and force us to back out of your drive thru?
