To Whom It May Concern,
I hope this message reaches the owner or upper management of this McDonald’s location, as what happened today was both alarming and concerning.
Approximately 10–15 minutes before arriving, we called the store. The woman who answered was very kind and provided helpful information, including the toy promotion currently running.
However, when we arrived, the employee who assisted us—who appeared to be the manager or shift lead—gave us a toy from “Elio” instead of the McDonald’s toy we had asked about. When we questioned this, she insisted that the McDonald’s toys had already been returned, even though the promotion clearly states that the toys are available through August 12.
Her tone felt manipulative, and it seemed like she was trying to justify giving out different toys instead of being transparent. We didn’t want to hold up the line, so we parked and walked inside to follow up. Only then did she actually go check for the correct toys.
The entire situation felt suspicious and misleading. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that this behavior be reviewed. If a manager is willing to mislead customers over something as simple as a toy, it raises concerns about other potential issues happening behind the scenes.
Please look into this matter further. Thank you for your time...
Read moreThe best part of McDonalds now is price increases in some stores to show they too can serve you a $6 hamburger thing, but as a vegetarian I usually am disappointed in their selection. I could order desserts or frappacino drinks (great prices for great frappacino and iced coffee) or a McFlurry, but if I ask they usually suggest a parfait, which is not really a meal bc their yogurt is not really the best quality yogurt, and I doubt they have live cultures and probiotics in them like real yogurt in a cup does. It's sugar and tasty, with fruit and a small smeckle of granola. I have tried their new sandwich, which is awesome for chicken eaters (I refuse to eat beef, sorry), as chicken is my only cheat items I treat poultry as a meat from dinosaurs. You get to pick the bread, the meat (or poultry type!), and topping, like guacamole and pico, or some other toppings that are not on their usual menus that are all awesome, and they carry variations based on the ethnicity of the area they serve it in, I believe. But they only have 3 choices per sandwich part. I believe I reviewed this exact.locayion before, so I won't get into the same topics, so I focused...
Read moreIf we are talking about the McDonald's at the corner of Decoto near the BART station in Union City then I give this place only 3 stars. And those are for the food and the service. When I was in there eating on a particular morning there was 4-5 people besides myself dining there. One of the employees was going around with a power floor cleaner and also a mop bucket and a mop and was going over the entire floor while we were there eating. When he was using the mop he ran into me three times when I was sitting down at my booth eating. The experience there was disturbing and not safe and I told the cashier . She said that the cleaner was told to do the floor cleaning. Didn't McDonald's learn its lesson years ago when they served extremely boiling hot coffee to the lady who spilled the hot coffee on herself? In this instance of wet floors somebody could slip. I say that was a poor management decision to have the person fully cleaning the floor when people are there. And I have no excuse for that person who was mopping that ran into me...
