The Cheese Steak Shop — Restaurant in Hayward

I went today and ordered a Philly cheessteak with ONLY mayo,Swiss cheese & ketchup and a curl fries. The cashier was very helpful and asked if I'd like to upgrade, unfortunately he didn't relay the right message to the cook. I waited 10 to 12mins for my order. When I got home it was all WRONG. I calles& called no obe answered so I drove all the way back only to get the most rudest, inconsiderate manager ,MY ELDER.... he asked what did I get and proceed to interrupt me and say it has cheese on it,now what's the problem as if I'm a preschooler who doesn't know or recognize colors or food. He does not need to be anywhere assisting customers, no matter whatever position he's in. He never asked how can we fix this,never offered a solution ,he just insisted on saying i said,he said like a KID so I asked for my money back. He was trying to prove a point Like a customer doesn't matter. If that's who you think is good for customers and handling business good luck for longevity let alone I can only guess your profit margins....LOOK AT WHO ???? IT was very disturbing I an all about supporting local businesses but this one ,HE SHOWED HOW HE HANDLES BUSINESSor rectify situations. Yes there were others customers and proceeded to carry on. I know the common thing is to just ignore,but he is in NEED OF TRAINING CLASS it would benefit him & the company to send him to some trainings. As a matter of fact,I'll send you some information regarding help for training. Please let him know you NEVER know who you are encountering,if he knew I guarantee he would have treated me VERY,VERY different. I hope this is taken serious,because this was very serious to me. I came for dinner and to be treated in such manner,just disgust me,very distasteful a man of a particular age you would think since he's seasoned,he would know better. I hope he's not treating the workers any kind of way,they looked very SCARED......Bullies come in all forms young,old,boy,girl,man,women. I will not recommend this place to any one anymore, I got it. Came here a few months ago for some Hoagies, they were extremely average, not bad...just average with an above average price. Cost me like 30$ for a dinner for 2. The Hoagies were extremely spicy, which isn't my thing (but is my fault for not ordering properly) - but my review is not about my experience then. My review is from an experience this week. I told myself "never again will I go there" last time, but I found myself going there today, I seen they re-made their menu, thought "okay, this might actually make change my mind."

Yeah, it didn't. It made me regret going there again. The Hoagies were not spicy this time around, but they were greasy beyond belief, disgustingly so in-fact. I live right around the corner from this place and by the time I got home, the bread wasn't even bread anymore, it was a grease sponge. It couldn't even absorb all of the grease, let that sink in - it not only seeped out of the wrapper, but the bag itself. By far a top contender for the greasiest thing I have ever attempted to consume. I won't be going back there unless I somehow get some quality life insurance, or an innate yearning to die by heart-attack. Only reason why this review isn't 'a 1/5 is because the staff was polite.

I think you guys need a new cook!! Who ever cooked this food forgot to put the flavor in it!!! It tastes like I was eating air. It absolutely tasted like nothing!! I got the large mushroom and steak i added extra cheese and bacon and onions and also cheese sauce but they put the cheese sauce in a cup instead of on the sandwich like I asked but whatever. I spent over $26 down the drain. With a bottle of soda too. It's just another chain restaurant that uses young adults who Don't care about their job Owners/Manager if you don't believe me send in an unknown person to purchase an order and try it yourself. I wish you could reimburse me for the TIME i lost thinking about how good my lunch was going to be today!!! PS. I wish I could throw up this food so I can go find something satisfying to eat. A cup of noodles would have been more...
