This restaurant hasn't been around very long - meaning it looks like it was just opened, so this maybe the reason why it took 30 minutes to get our breakfast. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly voice who accurately took our order, we paid, then pulled up to the 2nd window to receive our drinks and food. The young lady working the 2nd window gave us our iced teas (the tea tasted old and like it had been sitting for a while), and my coffee, which tasted fresh. She asked us to pull around to the front where they would bring our food out to us. Now keep in mind there were 2 cars pulled around front waiting for their food, and there were only 3 to 5 customers inside. After the two cars in front of us received their meals, we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. I finally got out of my vehicle and walked in. The staff working the line didn't acknowledge my existence. Not one word was mentioned to me - no one spoke to me. The manager was working in the broiler area, another employee messing with the fryers, and another employee attending to a buzzer on the other side of the kitchen. I spoke up and asked politely if someone could assist me - crickets...nothing! No response from any of the employee in ear shot. Finally, after me standing there at the front counter the employee messing with the fryer grabs my order and walks up to the front counter, asks me what I ordered, i told her and she hands me the order. No thank you, no sorry for your wait. We apologize for running behind - NOTHING!
After pulling into the parking spot to eat our meal, this family who had been sitting in the dining room come out and they were upset - This family's order was sitting on the counter and the employee's didn't call them up to retrieve their order.
I can understand the restaurant only being open for a short time and not having the proper training etc. The problem I have with this situation is that they didn't apologize for me having to wait 30 minutes for my food. The other problem is that I was not acknowledged when I was standing at the front counter. A simple, we will be with you in a xx minutes, would've been great.
The bottom line - if you live or visit Hazelwood MO, I would try and visit another burger king in the area - you might have faster service. The food was hot and the hashrounds were fresh, I will...
Read moreI have been to this location several times. Had several excellent experiences recently. One time I even gave a hot slice of pizza to the drive thru employee taking my order when he mentioned the smell of the pizza. However, my most recent visit was a big disappointment. Warning: Don't expect a decent cone at this Burger King location depending on the worker. They should label them baby cones on their menu. I ordered 3 of them for me and my daughters while waiting for my first order. The first order had went smooth as the lady I encountered was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately, when she went left the counter, I ordered ice cream cones from another worker. Not sure why but instead of him making the cones, he asked another female worker to make them. The girl he asked grabbed plastic cups instead of cones and I had to explain that I ordered cones. I guess I am supposed to be thankful for whatever she feels like putting out into the universe that day. The 1st cone she handed over had maybe a centimeter of ice cream above the rim of the ice cream cone. The 2nd one was pretty much the same. The picture of the 3rd cone I included was by far the "biggest" cone. It actually had more than triple the amount of ice cream above the rim of the cone as the first two. (Whoa, Don't hold back now!!) When the lady who took my first order returned and saw the cones, she shook her head. The girl making the cones said "what?" I said to the lady who had helped me earlier and was very courteous who was now shaking her head looking at the cones, "They are small, huh?" And she agreed. She stated that the ones she used to make at Sonic were much bigger. To which the girl making the cones said "Well, this isn't Sonic." I hope the universe gives that girl the same sorry energy back that...
Read moreI have alpha-Gal Syndrome (or alpha-Gal allergy -- galactose-α-1,3-galactose allergy) which makes me allergic to all mammal meat.(and other products made from mammal meat) The Impossible Whopper is a god-send! I dare anyone/everyone to try the Impossible Whopper vs a regular Whopper as a blind taste-test. You honestly can't tell the difference! I absolutely love Burger King for this reason! Thank you Burger King! Although I nornally love Burger King, this visit was a little problematic, to say the least! The dining area was closed so I went thru the drive-thru. The young caucasian woman taking my order acted as if it were her first day. She had the hardest time taking my order (even tho I speak very clearly, loud, and no specific accent) and got our order wrong - after giving the entire order literally 5 times! She gave me incorrect change (but that was to my advantage - I gave the extra back) and worst of all, she spoke to me in Ebonics, making it much harder to understand her. Even after politely pointing out her mistake, she proceeded to give me a huge attitude! I have no problem with people of different backgrounds but I wouldn't put someone who is hard to understand in a position where it's difficult for your customers to communicate their order. I've been to this specific location many times and usually have a fine experience. As I said, I LOVE Burger King but it does bother me when so many things go wrong during one experience. Even though I did have a problem, because the food was good (and hot) I gave this visit 4 stars.
Thank you for taking the time to...
