Money's tight but my husband and I decided to treat ourselves and came here for lunch because on their menu is says Lunch special Monday- Saturday. Waitress comes to take our order and then tells us that they no longer have the lunch specials on Saturday. Ok then strike 1, cuz I'm thinking then it needs to be reflected on their menu. Placed orders of gorditas of chicken and pastor. They bring it out and they look like sandwiches not your traditional gorditas. Instead of pastor we got chicharron ( pork rinds), called her back and said this isn't what we ordered, her reply was we don't have pastor so this is what they substitute it with. Strike 2, why didn't she come and tell us if we wanted to substitute it for something else. I'm not one to make a big deal so I said fine. It was mostly tomatoes and onions instead of actual meat. Ask for the bill and notice that the prices are wrong, called her back and told her that those weren't the prices on the menu, her response was yeah the menu's wrong. Strike 3, she could have offered to honor the price on the menu but didn't. We will definitely not be going back. If money's tight I would definitely ask about prices when...

If I could’ve given less than a star for this place I would have. This place is not even in the ball park of an “authentic” Mexican restaurant, nor is the food any good no matter the cuisine style. There’s no spices and no flavor to the food. The salsa tasted mostly of tomato sauce, had the consistency of baby food, and was warmed. That does not constitute “salsa” for me, more like a sauce. The flautas, which typically come in flour tortillas or they would be called taquitos, had no flavor, none! The only flavor tasted was the tomato slices in top. We also ordered the Torta, which came with French fries. Unfortunately, the fries were the best part of the entire meal after salt was added. I’m so disappointed. Furthermore, we ordered a drink, a double jack and Coke, which came in a tall skinny glass of Coke, a lemon, lime, and an orange wedge, with little to no alcohol for over $19. To say this was a horrible experience with terrible food is an understatement. I suppose if you are just looking to just fill your belly, this will suffice. If you’re looking to enjoy a delicious meal, this place is...

So I was excited when we first end t in food quality appeared great. But when it comes to being professional, please, let’s not be hypocrites. I Placed an order to go immediately took one bite out of the taco salad. It tasted like I was eating dog food. I spit it out literally right back into the taco bowl called the restaurant told him I was gonna bring it in and switch it out. The little girl said OK. Then when I came in, she ignored me. The owner came up to me and said I wasn’t allowed to switch it. I had to buy another one now the only question I have how is someone that just asked me to bring him $20 worth of marijuana going to say something so unprofessional and so wrong second of all don’t look at women with eye candy and such disrespect. When your wife is sitting there are you clearly put enough money into her? You should want to look at her and her alone. Extremely unprofessional would never go back. He should’ve done the...

Top notch service.. let's start there. When I visit an establishment for entertainment/food the last thing I want to do is wait or have to ask for another drink. I never even finished my margarita before I was offered another. I drink more, I spend more, everyone wins. Now on to the food. The menu was pretty extensive but not overwhelming. Chips and salsa hit the table promptly. The Sala is the perfect level of heat. It's served warm which is different, and well it was addicting. I had the house special fajitas. I opted out for the three meat which I did not see on the menu, but they graciously obliged. I most certainly will frequent here often. Cheers. Thanks to the entire staff. José is the man.

This was by far the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I don’t know if it was just a bad cook/day or if this is their norm. But I don’t want to find out. The fajita quesadilla was terrible. The chicken tasted like it was made with soy sauce. The cheese tasted old. The salsa tasted like tomato soup. Even the margarita was nasty. I took a risk with trying this place out because my preferred place is temp. closed. I was so disappointed. My friend enjoyed her chicken taco and the service was great, so I left 2 stars.

The service was very good. They did a good job decorating the restaurant and the STL Cardinals game was on...a big plus. Started with a margarita, which was quite sweet, but decent. The meats were very salty and the refried beans were bland---right out of the can. Now, about that salsa...it's not salsa. It's tomato basil soup with a dash of something hot in it...it's just soup, not salsa. I gave it a shot, but the food was too pricey and I didn't enjoy it--I think I'll stick with my local favorite.
