Well, even I have to say something, once in awhile, that isn't a positive about a business. And I know a lot of you are going to disagree here. But I'm one of those people that doesn't believe all this Mask Hysteria. I only wear the thing out of courtesy for others when I'm in a very public place like a grocery store or shopping center. We were recently at this location and just had a very negative experience with one of the associates barking at us about not wearing our mask. There was no lobby dining and we were simply sitting at a table waiting for our takeout order. The delivery associate came driving up nearly crashing into the curb in front of the business parking in a handicap spot which I did notice he did have a handicap tag in his window, but as he launched up against the curb slammed open the door and left it and then rushed into the restaurant I was still trying to validate why he needed the handicap placard. After a couple of minutes behind the counter he came all the way around the counter to where my son and I were standing and sitting in an empty booth along with only two other people in the entire lobby area waiting for our order. This person took it upon themselves to verbally Acosta us about our mask wearing my son had his on and pulled over both his nose and mouth and mine I had slid down under my nose, still covering my mouth though. The Jimmy John's associate then indicated to me that I needed to pull my mask up I politely thanked him and said have a nice day and just continued looking at the story I was reading on my phone. This person insisted on suggesting/commanding several more times about raising my mask over my nose. Then threatening to tell the manager, who we had already had a conversation with before this delivery person had arrived, about another question that we had on our order. After several moments with this particular associate I finally snapped back and asked if they were the owner? He indicated he was not. I asked if he was one of the store management, again he said that he was not I asked if he was a shift leader or a supervisor of any importance whatsoever to the facility and he answered that he was not to all of those questions. So I finally insisted that he go away and leave me alone as I was not endangering anyone since no one was standing near me, except for him! As he had invaded my little six foot circle! About this time another member of the staff indicated our order was ready and we took our sandwiches and left the property. Well March 10th came around and the governor said let's open everything up. So I was out last Wednesday and near the same location thought well I'll just go over there and grab a sandwich. I walked in the door the staff all had their masks on and there were three or four tables of guests which none of them had their masks on. As I approached the counter to ask a question about a particular item, and associate insist that I put a mask on. I remind them what day it is and what the governor has indicated about the mask and they told me that their owner was insisting that everyone still wear a mask. I politely said I'm sure that the manager meant you as the staff and not the patrons of this store. the person pointed to a camera right in front of the cash register and said that they were keeping an eye on everybody and that included the guests and they couldn't serve me if I didn't put a mask on. I politely told the associate I was not going to wear a mask and to please pass that along to the owner that I would no longer the utilizing this particular location for my lunch, as I worked close by. So that's why I'm giving the negative review. Nothing necessarily about the food of the preparation just that I'm tired of all of this hysteria about the stupid mask. There's plenty of other places to go and have my...
Read moreI recently visited the Jimmy John’s at 9079 Katy Freeway, and I was thoroughly impressed by the service and the overall experience. From the moment I walked into the store, the staff greeted me warmly. The dining area was clean and inviting, making it a pleasant spot for a quick lunch or dinner.
The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Maria and Alfredo. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure I received my order quickly and accurately. Maria was kind and attentive, making sure that every customer ahead of me was welcomed and taken care of with patience and a genuine smile. She helped me with menu questions and offered helpful suggestions. Alfredo was efficient behind the counter, expertly preparing sandwiches with care, and he even double-checked my customizations without hesitation.
My sandwich was fresh, well made, and packed with flavor, thanks to the team’s attention to detail and speedy service. I also noticed Maria checking in on customers, making sure everyone was enjoying their meal—a rare and appreciated touch in a fast-food environment.
Overall, this location stands out because of caring employees like Maria and Alfredo. Their positive attitudes and dedication make Jimmy John’s a reliable choice whenever I’m in the Memorial area. I will definitely return and encourage others to stop by for a...
Read moreService and food was fine. However, my complaint is mostly about the checkout process. If you want to add a tip option that’s fine. But the check out screen (as you are paying) does not give you the option to opt out of leaving a tip. This is so presumptuous. And so rude. I should not be forced to leave a tip. If you would like to charge me more, they charge me more. But it sounds like Jimmy John’s needs to just pay their employees more money and stop avoiding giving them a raised by forcing us to tip. The screen literally forces you to leave a tip. Every time I see this on the screen, my first thought is that the company is too cheap to give their employees a raise. Tipping is for delivery. Drivers waitresses and bartenders. I don’t tip when I go to Subway. There’s no reason I should tip when I go to Jimmy John’s. Your people work by the hour, pay them more by the hour. Don’t force...
