McDonald's — Restaurant in Hellertown

McDonald's takes pride in their super fast drive-thru where there is rarely a line unless coming at peak times mainly lunchtime. However, as a result, they seem to prioritize their drive-thru over dine-in and carry-out customers probably to avoid customers driving off. In consequence, I would always recommend waiting in the drive-thru if there is a line because you will get served faster than trying to carry-out to skip the line. Curbside is a great addition to McDonald's because it keeps the drive-thru moving as efficiently as possible with larger orders asked to wait at the designated curbside parking spots to keep the drive-thru flowing fast. Also it provides more convenience to the customer.

In terms of quality, McDonald's has been improving their quality and app to promote more online ordering. The app lets you fully customize every item ordered to your liking and the introduction of fresh no frozen beef makes their premium sandwhiches taste much better. Prior to them introducing fresh beef, I was always a fan of Wendy's for always having fresh beef even though you waited longer for your burger on average. However, the drive-thru is so slow at Wendy's and they always seem overwhelmed late-night and peak times whereas McDonald's always manages to stay on top of traffic.

I would rate the McDonald's app a 10/10 because it is very user friendly and provides some great deals now and then where you can get a full meal for almost half price sometimes if you're smart. I'd rather this town have one good fast food place, but we don't have any Burger Kings, our Wendy's is terrible, and WaWa is the new top dog... the level of "service" at this McDonalds is embarrassingly underwhelming and frankly a disappointment.

Anytime I've ordered here the order is incomplete, wrong, or missing items asked for multiple times before checkout.

I was just there 3/18/2025 and while the person at the front counter was incredibly nice- while they were being kind, every single other worker was being so rude and mean to them for being nice to me. The counter person was THE ONLY ONE trying to get my order correct, while 5+ other kitchen workers mouthed off about them being nice, rather than FOCUS ON GETTING MY FOOD.

I checked my order three times and still was missing food/sauces asked for many times. After all that I still got the wrong sandwhiches and when you order "Regular" anything the brain dead lazy kitchen staff assume you obviously mean "Spicy" even if you tell them you're allergic. These people simply don't care, and it is reflected in a piss poor quality of service, food, and industry. But sure..... add another drive thru lane when the staff can barely handle one.

It's not the cashiers fault that every single time I go here, you guys mess up, are angry or rude as hell, and then you get so upset when customers come to get money back or the correct food.

Adding a second drive thru lane has done NOTHING but make this location worse.

Very disappointing. We could not use the code. Told it was expired. It was not. Also, the jalapeño cheeseburger advertised was not a cheeseburger and was a quarter pounder with bacon and jalapeños with sauce. After ordering We waited a VERY LONG TIME for the unsweetened tea which was behind the counter. They brought the sandwich and forgot the fries. Waited for the fries. They were overly salted. While still waiting for the tea, I overheard the customers next to us say their sandwiches were incorrect and they had to return the sandwiches and wait for replacements. The customer remarked to me they always mess orders up. The restaurant was very dirty/messy with food left all over tables. One employee was on his hands and knees picking up pieces of food off the dirty floor then the tables next to them, with no gloves. No broom. Touching all the furniture after touching dirty food & floor. The drink area was filthy. We will not be back. I understand there may be shortage of staff but existing staff was standing around doing nothing or on phones. Not a...
