I went to shop and I went to use the restroom and I realized the door has a code now to enter. I asked the employee if I could have the code to enter and she was very rude and said “go”. And I didn’t understand because she wasn’t clear. Then I asked her again how do I go ? She repeated in a rude manner “go” but didn’t explain to me. Then I realized that she was opening the door maybe by pushing a button from where she was. An employee was getting out of restroom and told her to tell her coworker that she was very rude. When I came out I told the employee that next time she had to be more clear all she needed to say for me to go and she will open the door. She ignored me. Then I told her that she was very rude and disrespectful especially to seniors. That she she needed to learn to treat people with respect. She started laughing and said “go”. I got mad and started telling how rude she was. She said for me to go because I was harassing her. Then I don’t know who called the security guard. He was very nice and saw me shaking and asked me what happened. I explained to him and then they were 3 employees listening. Then they talked to me and said they were the managers. They were very nice and understanding and acted professionally. They said they were going to talk to her. Maybe she thought I didn’t understand English and that I was going to be quiet. She doesn’t belong in this store. She needs to find another type of job. I’m educated and understand English enough and maybe she thought I was not going to say anything because I’m Hispanic. I have been going to that store since 2004 but I will not go back....
Read moreUpon entering the store today / this evening I was rudely greeted/barked at by Brian the security guy in all black. The shopping carts are usually to my right upon entering and I noticed they were not there. I politely asked Brian the security guy where they were and he informed me that "the floor is being waxed" & I can't use them. Seconds later I saw they had been moved further into the store. And I grabbed one to Brian's dismay. Even though there was no one "waxing the floor" at this Ross Brian continued his first lie to me about the floors being waxed and I "should be careful." The next blatant lie Brian said was when he rudely announced over the store wide speakers was that if any customer was not in line exactly at 11pm...that the registers would be shut down and it would be impossible to make my over $250 in purchases. This was another lie by Brian announced to the entire store. While I was at the cashier making my purchases shortly after 11pm via the cashier scanner........Brian again rudely announced that he has "no patience". This is most definitely true. Brian should be fired. He is one of the most nastiest and meanest persons I have ever encountered working at Ross. If it weren't for the absolute kindness of Maria helping me with my over $250 purchase this evening at Ross I probably would have never returned to Ross for my shopping needs. Maria should be promoted while Brian should either quit or be fired. I am shocked at how condescending and vile Brian treats...
Read moreThey close off complete isles of clothing to the customer so associates can put back clothing people have tried on and straighten up the racks? I waited for a while then looked around for an associate to ask if the isle was blocked off for a reason or was an associate working on putting the items away and left the rack blocking off the isle by mistake. I found no one to ask and no associate working in the blocked off area? I moved the rack slightly so I could get to and look at the clothing I was interested in buying. After browsing for a while that's when an associate approached me and informed me in an unprofessional manner that the area was closed off to customers so they could clean and straighten up the area. I explained that I looked around for someone to ask but there was no one around or in the area. She said I could continue shopping (thanks for allowing me to spend MY money in the store) but would have to leave when an associate comes to straighten up the racks. What happened to straitening up and restocking the racks in between the customers that are shopping and spending money on things to buy or at the end of the night after hours. Also can someone explain why the fitting rooms close at 7 pm when the store doesn't close until 11 pm? Just poor customer...
