Hi Gizelle, We want to clear up a big misconception about açaí bowls. Authentic açaí pulp comes from Brazil and is sold as a frozen “base” — either in buckets or packs. On its own, this base is very thick, dark purple, and almost flavorless. It’s not meant to be eaten straight; its job is to provide antioxidants, fiber, and the signature color, while the flavor and sweetness come from blending it with fruit.
Every legitimate açaí shop blends the base with fruits like bananas, berries, or mango to create the texture and taste customers expect. Without blending, the pulp would taste flat, be too dense, and not nearly as enjoyable.
At Juice World, we use 8 ounces of premium Grade-A açaí pulp per bowl — the same or more than most shops — and we blend it with real fruit to enhance nutrition, texture, and natural sweetness. Some places just scoop the base straight into a bowl with toppings, which might look darker but actually gives you less total product and fewer nutrients.
We stand by our method because it delivers a healthier, better-tasting, antioxidant-rich bowl without adding unnecessary sugar. Darker color doesn’t mean better quality — it usually just means they cut corners and don’t feel like blending you a bowl just scooping it in and giving it to you like ice cream!
Please let the kitchen do their job and you just enjoy the food and the bowl ! On top of that, you’re getting a 24–32 oz bowl — the biggest you can get within a 2-hour radius. If you can’t appreciate that and want to judge our product, go make your own at home I hope you use just Acai base and see ! — Ameer Founder & CEO, Juice World”
— Update: Hi Ameer, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I understand how authentic açaí pulp works. I actually make bowls at home using only the açaí base, so I’m familiar with the taste and texture, and will drive far for good açaí. My review was based on the bowl I received at your shop, which didn’t meet my expectations compared to others I’ve had. I’m always open to learning more about a business’s process, but I believe customer feedback should be received respectfully, even when opinions differ.
Service was amazing! The toppings on the Açaí bowl were so yummy However I didn’t taste any Açaí :( it seems like the based is mixed with other ingredients as the base is very light in color and has no taste in...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but when a business is deserving of it I just must!! This spot has made my life/health 10 x's better!!! My son & hubby have been buying me my acai bowls and juices (meals) from here since opening. I have a myriad of complicated and complex health related issues (rare blood disorder & autoimmune) therefore it's vital for me to be cautious of what I put in my body. If I had to pick 1 place in a 50 mile radius around me this place is definitely my TOP CHOICE! Believe me when I say I am extremely picky because my body is highly reactive and it says thank you, with a cherry on top, after everything I have eaten from here. The produce is top notch so the pricepoint is more than fair! (For those who complain about pricing grow a garden then we'll talk). I can leave a novel, but I hope those who read this get the gist of it. This place is helping to keep me alive by providing my body with the nutrition it...
Read moreSOLID, BUT PRICEY! I came in to pick up a couple of açaí bowls for lunch and I was surprised that the bowls are “make-your-own”. Why? Short answer, to charge more. Each topping is an additional 40 cents, it adds up if you want a decent açaí bowl with at least three different fruits. The açaí puree stayed cold during my trip back to my place. My total for one regular and one large bowl was $29, I thought I was in LA lol. The food was fresh and the ingredients were great, but I’ve honestly had better fruit bowls within the last couple of weeks.
Overall, the staff were fairly nice, they apologized for a lack of bags. The wait was a little excessive as there were only two employees working. A lady and her son had to wait quite a bit to be acknowledged and place their order.
I liked the murals on the wall, it’s very Pac-Man meets fruit! They gave a colorful touch to the shop, the music was...
