Update: We finally went back and it is actually pretty good with a decent variety. The biggest problem for me is with all.ypu can eat, I treat it as a challenge to get my money's worth, so stuffing myself with sushi makes it far less enjoyable, as sushi is meant to be savored and enjoyed. No fault of theirs, though. The rating will be adjusted, but the initial experience is still being taken into account.

I would have loved to review the food, but i didnt even get the chance to eat. My wife, daughter and I showed up at 8pm on a Saturday and were told they weren't taking anyone else for the night and to come back tomorrow, despite posted hours until 11pm. The russian (?) hostess was less than pleasant. People in front of us had their names taken, but apparently my party of 3 was the cut-off point. She said the manager told her to not take anyone else (and I repeat: at 8 PM on a Saturday night on their second week of business), despite not even leaving the hostess stand after taking the names of the previous group.

My wife called 10 minutes after we left, while we were in the McDonalds drive thru (and watched as more and more people flooded in) and an Asian lady answered. We asked how long the wait would be and she was told "no more than 20 minutes" if we get there soon.

So, now I'm confused... were we profiled? Do they have an aversion to making money? Was the first hostess just a miserable hag? Either way, my family had been looking forward to eating there since we heard it was coming, so this first experience was definitely a letdown and, honestly, the excitement is gone. Maybe one day we will go back and try again, but then...

I have been to many hibachi restaurants in Pittsburgh and 2 all you can eat establishments. This one is far and away the best of the entire bunch. Between my Mom and I we had steak, chicken and shrimp and all 3 meats were cooked to absolute perfection. She asked for medium on her steak and she got textbook medium. Beautiful. I ordered a variety of 4 sushi rolls all of which were a full 8 pieces and stuffed with a generous amount of fillings. No shrinkflation here. I also had 4 pieces of the thickest, most beautifully fresh and fatty salmon sashimi I ever had. It's worth noting the salmon they use for the sushi is a lower grade or quality than the salmon for the sashimi, which is a good thing, because the sashimi you get is TOP quality for the best sashimi experience. The salmon on the rolls is also very delicious and good quality, just not as choice as the sashimi salmon. The waitress we had was sweet, friendly, never rushed us, checked on us quite a few times for drinks and was very insistent on making sure we understood the rules of the establishment. I felt well taken care of and informed! The bathrooms are clean enough, not perfect but certainly not something I would complain about or not want to use. A major draw here is the cleanliness. Clean floors and tables. Nice floor plan. Open and not claustrophobic. They don't quite have the menu size of other AYCE hibachi and sushi restaurants in the area but their cleanliness, great staff and delicious food more than makes up for it. I absolutely recommend it, and I will be...

I was here last night with my family for the first time and from the time we walked in the door, to the time we left, it was a bad experience. The young girl at the hostess stand had an attitude to begin with. Once we sat down, the waitress (a female) took forever to wait on us and when she did, she was very short with us and not pleasant at all. We ordered 2 chicken and steak dinners and also a kids chicken and steal dinner. I did not finish my steak and chicken and neither did my son. We were charged an additional $4 because we did not finish our meals and were never told this prior. First of all, how are you going to charge me 25.99 and 14.99 for one meal then an additional $4 to leave with it?!? Our bill came to $84 (so not worth it) and tipped the waitress. As she was walking away and i told her to keep the change, she was looking down and counting the money with a confused look on her face. She then came back to my table and said “you told me to keep the change, your bill is 84.00” so i took the $ and counted it and there was abt $100 there and said yea i told u to keep the change. It’s was very uncomfortable and almost like she was trying to tell us we didn’t tip her well. I then tried calling the restaurant a few minutes after i left and was told there was no manger to talk to and they cld not take my contact info. for someone to return my call!!! I know a few people who have been at this restaurant and heard this is what they do when it comes to the bill and customers tipping. It’s...

First off it’s not a buffet as advertised on sign. You order from a menu a whole meal, appetizer what have you at a time. One size full portions. If you leave anything on the plate they charge you more for not eating the food. The food is sub par all the way around. The staff is does their typical routine that you find at these restaurants they start off being nice when they feel your done they start rushing you, next goes to ignoring you to then being rude to you to get you out the door. When you ask for check they start being nice because they know it’s tip time. Worse of all me and my friend who ate their got a food borne illness. I have a restaurant managers license and recognize the signs. We both have been on the toilet for two days since eating there. My educated guess would be sanitary issues at the restaurant which is no good since they handle raw fish and meat. In conclusion if you would like to spend the next few days running to the restroom eat there if not enjoy a real buffet somewhere else w better sanitary conditions and better food. All and one more thing two adults, two small kids they charge by height bill was over $70.

The first time here was very impressed by the no wait, seated right away, even tho the restaurant was bustling and almost every seat was taken. The approximately 10 stools at the bar were available. Full disclosure is that we did stop on a Wednesday evening at 6 pm. The service was right away and pleasant without the feeling of being rushed. We ordered off the extensive menu, and the drink side of the menu found 3$ domestic beer prices and other drink combinations reasonably priced as well. This is a one price (22.99 ea adult) children less depending on height ,which includes almost everything on the food side of the menu. They have a large variety of sushi , habichi, noodles, and fried rice. One word is to eat what you order. Any leftovers are weighed in take-home containers that you pay additional. The food, once you order, is made after ordering, but the wait between ordering is not that long. This place is a must try sushi 🍣 and / or habichi destination. Child food items (limited) are also available. We spent almost 2 hours dining, but never once felt rushed out the door. We will be back 😋

I don't know how I went without Mr. Tokyo for so long! For $22.99 you get to eat as much sushi as you want and it is also pretty good. Drinks are cheap too and what you get for that cheap is good enough. There are some rolls I wasn't thrilled about but I'm sure that's just personal taste while others were delicious ! The service can be fast or slow depending on how busy it is. We ordered some appetizers that were never delivered and we waited more than usual for a roll because they thought they served it when it still was at the counter but it's $23 dollars and a lot of good food so it didn't matter to us. It is a pretty large restaurant, seating a lot of people so there might be a bit of a wait when it's full, and oh boy it gets full. We went at 5pm and almost all the tables were taken. By the time we left around 6:30 there was a line of people waiting to be seated. Mr. Tokyo is in a plaza so parking isn't a problem. My husband and I have already decided that we are not going to go to any other sushi place. Definitely give it a try!
