This restaurant needs new management I’m guessing. I placed a catering order on December the 16th by phone. Tracey the manager of this particular restaurant in Henderson NC is the person I spoke to on the phone and that took my order on Monday the 16th of December in the AM hours. She asked for my name my phone number and what I would like to order. Once I placed the order she asked what day and time I would like to pick the order up. I chose December the 24th at 12 pm and she agreed with the date and time. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:39AM and went inside to let them know I was there for my order and that I was early. Well of course it was not ready which that was okay so I told the lady at the register after she wrote my order down once again with my phone number and my name that I would be back to give them some time. Arrived back at this restaurant at 1:23pm and had to stand in line for about 20 minutes with other customers as well. Once I made it to the register the girl informs me that they can’t find my order slip anywhere they have no idea what could have happened to it. Now it won’t one ticket lost it was 2 tickets lost for the same order. Well I go ahead and pay for the order and sit down to wait in the meantime my husband is in the drive thru to order food and had been sitting in that line since I came in the building because we thought me running in to get a catering order was going to be quick considering I had already been there at 11:39am for the same order. Well while he is waiting all of a sudden the drive thru is closed I approached the counter and yes I stood at the end of the cash register counter in the walk way in order to get the young girls attention that was working the drive thru I never once went behind the counter. As I spoke to the young lady and explained she was willing to help and allow him to give the order since we had been waiting forever in the middle of this young lady trying to help and to do her job that wonderful manager Tracey walked up to get in the middle of the conversation and to tell me to step back because it was hazardous being that I didn’t have on none slip shoes. and simply disregard that I had been more then patient at this point and walked back to her work station as she mentioned she was the manager. At that point as a manager she should have been proud to see her employee trying to handle the situation and trying to help the situation but clearly stating what her job title was well it must have been more important. So after all was said I requested my refund which she didn’t come to the front to do herself she passed her keys off to the employee that was running the front register to give me a refund in cash even though I paid with my debit card. Didn’t matter to me one way or another how they gave it back I’m just stating that to say this seems to me she didn’t come to the front to do her own job as manager because she must have realized she was in the wrong. She walked away from her work station to announce what her job title was but was not professional enough to walk to that register to take care of the refund for her customer. So Tracey thanks for loosing my order that you took yourself over the phone and thanks to that employee that you had running the front register that lost it the second time I walked out of this restaurant at 2:21pm with nothing. I didn’t have an issue with waiting because I could clearly see that this place was busy and these people are working on a holiday I’m sure they didn’t want to be there themselves so I was trying to be patient cause it’s not their fault. Except for the attitude of this one manager, who can appear to be very confrontational with the customer and becomes offensive if there is any issue or concerns...in my personal opinion, and even when liquid spills are in the bag. So, I inquired with Ms. T. about what she meant by stating: "So what does a spill in your bag got to do with the food." Then I was asked my name and told that I complained about everything all the time. A completely false statement.
A young man from the back kitchen brought my bag to my car. There was creamer spilled all inside my bag, condiments and plasticware were sticky and sugar packs were soggy. I did not order coffee so I'm not sure why the sugar was in the bag or creamer spilled. But I just didn't trust the food. I tried to wipe up the spill and attempted to eat the biscuit. But the spill was all over the top of my food tray and it seemed some got on the inside near the front corners of the take-out tray.
I got the same treatment from the same manager about 1 year ago when I inquired about the dog biscuits that showed signs of molding...I just kindly asked for an exchange and showed by the receipt. When later sharing my story with a co-worker, she said that she had a run-in with this same manager about apple pie vs turnover.
This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I show up because the other employees are so friendly and I always felt welcomed. I typically visit 4x to 5x a week since the grand opening...but haven't been back since...not...

The cashier was trying to put them in little boxes so as not to get crushed when the woman from the drive thru pushed her way in and decided to steal my rolls. I had already had a issue with this place because the berry pies don’t look anything like the ones advertised on tv. So DJ gave me a cinnamon roll instead. So the drive thru woman looked in my bag and assumed I already had 2 rolls and she stole one of the ones I paid for and told me I didn’t need three.
