Ichibar Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Henderson

If you like good Hibachi and regular size sushi this is not the place... Went to ichabar the other day with the wife and ordered Hibachi and sushi takeout the Hibachi was not flavorful and my broccoli, zucchini was way overcooked and mushy a baby could of eaten it, that's how soft it was.. Then the sushi was extremely small every sushi place I have ever gone too the sushi slices are like the size of a 50 cent piece there sushi slices are barely the size of a quarter. I can't believe I had to wait about 45 minutes for this kind of bad quality.. and they're overpricing there food because they know they are the only Japanese restaurant in the area I work in 10 different counties in this state and the price I usually pay everywhere else for 3 meats and veggies they are charging for 2 meats and veggies.. one last thing is that myself and the wife waited most of the time outside in the cold and in the car because they do not enforce their carry out customer to wear masks. When we went in it was about 3 maybe 4 people standing around waiting on food without mask.... I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK AND ANYONE WHO WANT GOOD HIBACHI MY ADVICE IS TO TAKE THE DRIVE TO...

Food is pretty good but the service terrible. I didn't go back there for a year and a half because they didn't want to give me extra sauces w/o a charge, when in fact, I ordered takeout orders on a regular basis and they were BIG orders, $50- $100+ every time. The owner wouldn't budge. He acted like a jerk relaying no no no back and forth through the cashier. Spend that much money and get treated like that, who wouldn't be mad?

I went back recently and sat at the bar and had to ask for a menu after 10 solid minutes of being ignored. I went to a table after that because the bar stool was uncomfortable. Then the service was slow and my waitress seemed moody. The place needs to be cleaner. I wish there was another sushi restaurant in the area so there'd be competition and more choices. I'm a decent tipper and I feel a little cheated.

Btw, if you are on the Outer Banks, check out Diamond Shoals Restaurant in Buxton. Their sushi is to die for; outrageously good, omg...

O my God I love you this restaurant today was my brother's birthday and we asked if they did birthdays they said we used to and of course we said it's ok thank you 5 minutes later they come with cheesecake and also couple mins later comes kind dude ask if he's allowed to have soda a they come and give his two japanese sodas and there food was delicious and they checked ob us like every 5 - 7 mins great service and food love this place.

Very kind service I love their restaurant so much Their sushi is so good 👍 and they have decent prices for such great plates and their sides are sooo good 😊 I'm very happy with what they have also I mean most restaurants ignore like babies talking and walk away these people talked to my baby brother! I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT I wish I could give it a 100 than a five. Guaranteed everything 💯 so great to love this place again and looking for a Japanese restaurant to come here is...
