Fruit Palace — Restaurant in Henderson

The worst service , if you not the right skin color. The lady with her golden hair pulled back , could not even smile at me and my daughter who love mexican and El Salvadorian food, we grew up in Los Angeles and are very familiar with both cultures. Both this lady at Fruit Palace was nasty to us. She served us food old and dirty plate. The pupusas , chicken and cheese was gross, the breading was too doughy and the Elote corn in a cup she put tons of chili powder in it , when my daughter ask if she could exchange it , she didn't even let her finish speaking, she cut her off and said , but you ask for spicy and my daughter and myself both said no , she did not. it was really soupy too it was gross, Do not waste your money because although we did not ask for a refund, they will probably never give one. It seems like a dirt poor place that need every single dime. We left the food and walked out. I heard her asking the older lady who took our order , if we ask for spicy , she said NO and shook her no, and she still did not try to accommodate us, she rolled her eyes at us. This is NOT a fast food restaurant. It's a sit down with a wait to be served restaurant with the option to order over the phone and come to pick up.

It is worth the wait. Food was fresh and delicious. It is hand-made (you could hear them making it from scratch). They get everything out as soon as they can based on the ingredients being prepared. I ordered a Crepe and a corn (because I hadn't had street corn before and with how authentic this place felt I decided to order it here.) The crepe came out first, then my dad's pupusas and my boyfriend's sopa, and then I got the corn. I was so satisfied.

Hidden gem for the patient who love flavor over convenience/brevity. If you're in a rush, order ahead on the phone...

First time coming to this place on the recommendation of my sister, we ordered two large fruit salads for $6.99 each, very large about 2 lb each. They have a choice of whatever fruits are in stock, we got pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, and mango. All the fruits were super fresh, juicy and delicious, well worth it. We also tried the bean and cheese pupusa, it came with a choice of regular or extra hot sauce we got regular, it has a side slaw. Everything was delicious, my only negative would be the wait, about half an hour, but it was lunch hour My recommendation would be to order ahead if you can Numbers on the menu.
