If you're ever looking for a quiet bar that plays 80's music, The Gin Mill is your local place to be. When you first walk in, you're immediately greeted by Mark. He is equally funny and courteous to your needs. He seems to have a wealth of knowledge in many different walks of life and is always willing to share that knowledge to make for good conversation.
I have been going to the Gin Mill on and off since 2016 and the what you see is what you get attitude is what makes this place better than most bars in the area. They have a few pool tables and are big supporters of the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Most of the customes are regulars and come from both the blue and white collar class. More importantly, they're very welcoming and love a great conversation topic.
So if you're ever in the Henderson area and are looking to let your hair down, or loosen that tie, go check out the Gin Mill and order a drink from Mark. You never know, you might even make some friends, hear some good music, and leave feeling good that you spent...
Read moreVery low-key & casual bar/restaurant/gaming/pool/darts spot in Henderson. Bartenders are friendly. Food is surprisingly tasty for bar food. Cash & credit cards accepted.
Two 7' Diamond bar boxes with Simonis felt. They try to keep the felt updated but they get a lot of use and it shows. House cues are a step above average but also get a lot of use. Not one of the major shooter spots in town but you never know who might walk in and want a game.
AMI juke box for your favorite tunes. Lots of billiard league play here so plan to wait or else go early or late (no leagues on Sunday nights at the very least). Two nice dart boards. Good amount of seating in the pool room which is separated from the main bar area.
Had the French dip with onion rings and it was good. Not life-changing but not something you're going to regret, either. Philly cheese steak sandwich looked similar.
Great low-key spot to hang out, watch or play billiards, or watch any of the 7+ huge TVs around the place with a variety of...
Read moreI recently moved close by my new local Gin Mill. As I have been a fan of this small group of casinos/bars since I started to plant my butt in a jackpot joannies a couple years ago, this felt familiar. Most of the same games and mostly locals unless someone is lost. There is one big difference...."this place has the best french fries I think I have ever had. No joke. You're probably wondering why not a solid 5 star? Well as I have been there several times recently and there was no mention of my cigar smoking being a problem. (Not really a cigar swishers are a cigarillo) I was told they are not allowed. As I looked around through the cigarette smoke and saw 10-15 people damaging their health in numerous ways, I thought "yeah, I can see where this would put someone over the top". smh but dang those...
