Rae's Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Henderson

If you don't plan on gambling, don't bother going here. If you just want to drink, eat, and talk and have fun - find another bar. I had received past warnings that it was a locals place for gamblers mostly. I knew that going in. We wanted a drink and we were thinking about playing a bit on the machines, but before we could even get our drink order out, we were asked to move to allow other gamblers to access the machine (who were not even yet present), with an empty machine next to me, and me sitting at the blank spot in the bar, my friend /employee sitting a machine. We were put in the only corner with a table for two, and proceeded to be forgotten about. When we needed round 2, I stood at the bar and the bartender ignored me while she continued to service other patrons. She walked half way across the bar towards me and saw me but didnt acknowledge me, and quickly averted eye contact. I said loudly anyways can we get another round and a menu.. She didnt respond and walked away to the other side of the bar. I thought she was ignoring me, but alas she did bring us another round, and set them down and walked away again with no menu. I asked for the menu again at her back and she didnt respond once again. I guess she heard me, because she came back with the menu a second later, and stated that she was busy serving the gamblers and couldn't take our order for 15 mins and walked away once again. 5 mins later she asked what we wanted to eat. We said we didn't need food and we were good... by then I was tired of being treated like a second class citizen.. and we had planned just to finish up drinking there and get food elsewhere after. But yeah, she didnt get us our round 3, and instead decided to cash us out and give us a check we didnt ask for. I am used to going to local bars, I am used to gamblers getting the seats they want.. I am NOT used to being treated with rude service.. Or kicked off a machine because we didnt put money in fast enough. I am a high spender for my drinks and food. I bring lots of people places and treat them to whatever they want. I am not used to being treated like they hate my money. If I HAD gambled, I would have spent my $20 and gotten my free...

. I am very familiar with Rae’s. Rae’s is not the place you go to and expect anything fancy or gourmet. The ambiance is very “Old Vegas”, which is a nice way to say it’s a little run down. Nonetheless, you go to a place like Rae’s and expect it to be a friendly local place. For as long as I can remember, the owner has been a nightmare. From making passive aggressive statements to people in my party to being horrible to her staff, she is the definition of haughty. I have been coming to Ray’s for years and whenever I see that crone, I cringe. Over the years, I have seen the customers at Rae’s dwindle down to the place being empty when I go. To clarify, I never go here by choice, but because I have a friend who loves one of the servers. She should leave the customer service to the servers, who are actually quite pleasant. I’m honestly surprised they stick around when they could do much better serving elsewhere. I would give one star, but the servers are usually so sweet. I just tried to complain about the poor service I have had by the bartender over the last 3 visits. When I tried to complain I asked to speak to a manager who is actually the lazy bartender I wanted to complain about. The hostess was nice to my face when I was there but when I complained the HOSTESS thinks she has the power to ban me for my complaint of service. Which I’m fine with because what a dump and trash service.

I have had to walk into the kitchen to ask for my bill after waiting 25 minutes for this lazy bartender/manager. Today I walked back to her hiding place to ask for the bill after waiting and she was smoking and watching the camera for her front door. Not everyone had the time this lazy bartender has. Some of us have places to go to and things to do.
