Nashville Hot Chicken & Gyro — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Really wanted to love this place since it's so close to home but took my granddaughter there, she ordered chicken quesadilla, I ordered chicken wings (the hottest level) fries and 2 Chicken tenders. They have a large selection on menu, atmosphere is cafeteria like, not clean, service was ok but it took over 20 minutes to get our food and we were the only people there. Every time we have tried to visit it has been closed at various times during day and evening. We arrived and they were closed (again) at 1p on Saturday but employee pulled in and opened up so we went in. The wings were cooked well and medium sized, very saucy and the hottest spice level was not hot and too vinegary, Chicken quesadilla was orange, chicken inside was orange and granddaughter ate 1 triangle and stated it was the worst quesadilla she's ever had and wasn't sure the chicken was even chicken, the tenders were very large but literally tasted like the ones you get in the bag at the grocery, not terrible but mediocre at best. Fries were excellent! I wanted to try the different lemonades they had but all three were down to the dregs and looked like they had been like that for days looked unclean. The minute maid lemonade for some reason was neon green/yellow and made my granddaughter nauseous. My diet Coke was good as usual. Food is too pricey for what you get especially when it's terrible. The employees talked the whole time very loudly non English so it made my granddaughter uneasy. Not due to it not being in English but due to it being so loud. I took Quesadilla home and husband confirmed in one bite it was terrible 😔 Sadly when we went to dump our trays and put them in designated spot we couldn't use our hands to push open the trash door because it was covered in something brown dripping all over it and stained with what looked like days of gross food parts and ketchup. The food was really fresh! Pipping hot 🔥 🥵 we ordered the Nashville Hot chicken tacos. We expected Tortilla with chicken slaw and pickles which is what the menu said. We got a hard Tortilla and fresh chicken with cayenne powder no flavor or anything just extremely hot powder. Out of 5 stars they get 2. One star because it was made to order and the other because it got here really fast. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla it had onion cheese and chicken on it. But the menu doesn't tell you that so I assumed it was just chicken and cheese on a white Tortilla but this Tortilla was red which is different from the website as well. It was pretty awesome 😍 and with a side of ranch it would of been even better. I also ordered a honey hot chicken salad. It was the same as the chicken tacos. It was a very large and deep salad with one tiny cup of dressing. But it had so much cayenne pepper I couldn't enjoy it. I would try this place again but for plan chicken and maybe a gyro. If I could give less than 1 star I would. This place is trash. The food is horrible! Do not waste your money here. The Nashville hot chicken sandwhich has middle eastern spices and taste horrible and overpowering. The two flavors do not go together. The bread was hard and cold, not brioche. The macaroni is soup (see photo) . The gyro was so full of oil the entire box was Saturated with oil, it wasn’t even edible. And the best of all is the thick black hairs all throughout the macaroni. SMH. I placed a to go order and waited well past the time the order said it would be ready. Two guys came in 15 minutes after I placed my order who spoke the same language as the owners, and they had their food way before I had mine.
