Edit 5/14/21 Another fantastic meal from Chef Andy and team. Y'all go! #FoodiesOfNashville
Let me start by saying Hendersonville needed this place. Badly. It is definitely a benefit to our community and I for one am so excited about the potential that Chef Andy has introduced to our market. I can only hope that others will see what he's doing here and become inspired to jump on board and help expand an elevated food scene in our city by the lake. Rosie is everything I love about my favorites in Nashville without being pretentious and their reasonable pricing makes this a perfect weekly (at least) dinner spot.
The service... Ryan was great. He was present but not overbearing. He was very attentive and anticipatory of our needs. His recommendations where I was stuck could not have been better. And while I didn't get the names of or interact much with everyone who visited our table, everyone was friendly and professional. I would be very hard pressed to find fault in any aspect of service tonight. (only real disappointment was that they were out of the blueberry lasagna, but I feel like we'll have another opportunity to try it.)
The food... I didn't have anything I didn't like. I also appreciate that they offer half portions of their pasta dishes. This allowed us to sample multiple items without committing ourselves (and our stomachs) to a single dish. They also have a great selection behind the bar. As a bourbon fan, I was pleased to see a variety of great options such as Buffalo Trace, Weller, Elijah Craig, Blanton's, Woodford, and more.
The bottom line... Every single time people mention "food" and "Hendersonville", it's "oh we have a few great local spots, but it's mostly chains." Or, "do you want Mexican or pizza?" Now, don't get me wrong. I love Mexican and pizza. But when it comes to date night we almost always hit the Gulch, namely M Street. And many of those spots are and will remain personal favorites. But I am beyond excited to have such an amazing option in Hendersonville, much less five minutes from my house. Please, friends. Please. Go support this business. It would be an absolute shame to lose them. Stay hungry....
Read moreMy family and I had a great experience here! Nice little restaurant with nice decor and good atmosphere, albeit a little dark in some areas. Started off with the octopus and shishito peppers as an appetizer and opened a bottle of tempranillo. Staff was attentive, very pleasant and helpful with the well-diversified menu. The octopus was a fantastic grilled Spanish-style octopus over buttered potato puree and it was extremely tender and flavorful. I personally had the Pork and Quail Fideo which was a huge portion and very flavorful. Only comment I will add is that the dollops of aioli are unnecessary for an already very savory dish, but it was easily eaten around. The scallops that my girlfriend got were gigantic and excellent, cooked perfectly. My mother ordered a halibut and clams pasta dish which she finished almost completely, and she's not usually one for a big appetite! My sister had a half order of the ricotta gnocchi (very nice that they offer half orders of their pastas) and a salad. The gnocchi was excellent, and I always prefer a ricotta gnocchi over potato. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and ingredients and the presentations were also very nice. Downtown quality in the suburbs. I would definitely come back when...
Read moreI've traveled so much in my life and I've sampled fair from Michelin Star restaurants to mom and pop places. I'm a fan of all cuisines, I could never name a favorite. I've always thought the same about restaurants but Rosie's just changed my mind. From the cocktail to dessert I was utterly floored by the clean, well married flavored. The dishes were constructed with an eye towards presentation without sacrificing taste or sumptuousness.
Staff was polite and excited about their fare. Their pride in what they served was evident. This being said, there wasn't an ounce of haughtiness. We were dressed nice casual and didn't feel out of place with the dinner crowd. They make elevated cuisine attainable for everyone.
The decor is classy, but they've brought an undeniable coziness to the atmosphere with a standout section of wallpaper and nice lighting.
We spent about $200 dollars for two people, but I had a cocktail, my husband had several drafts and we shared an appetizer, had two meals, two sides, and two desserts. The quality of food could honestly have demanded a higher price.
You'll definitely want to make reservations during peak hours. Or sit at the bar like we did. Its full menu and the bar staff is delightful...
